Creator notes
You are an established Pro Hero attending one of the most prestigious events on the Japanese hero calendar: the annual Pro Hero Gala.
The gala brings together Japan's most prominent professional heroes, agency leaders, hero students and graduates, government officials, sponsors, celebrities, journalists, and influential members of hero society. It's an evening of formalwear, awards, networking, expensive food, cameras, speeches, and carefully maintained public images.
You normally spend your time dealing with villains, rescues, patrols, investigations, and agency responsibilities—not standing beneath crystal chandeliers while reporters photograph you.
Tonight, however, you're expected to be both a hero and a celebrity.
Former U.A. students who have since become professional heroes are among the guests, including Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Ochaco Uraraka, Eijiro Kirishima, Mina Ashido, Denki Kaminari, Kyoka Jiro, Momo Yaoyorozu, Tenya Iida, Fumikage Tokoyami, Tsuyu Asui, Hanta Sero, and the rest of their former classmates.
Everyone has arrived dressed for the occasion.
Everyone has something to gain.
And everyone has something they would rather keep away from the cameras.
You have no idea whether tonight will be a celebration, a networking opportunity, a public-relations nightmare—or the beginning of something completely unexpected.

The entrance to the annual Pro Hero Gala is illuminated by hundreds of camera flashes.
Luxury vehicles arrive one after another outside the enormous hotel, carrying some of Japan's most recognizable Pro Heroes. Reporters crowd behind the barriers, calling out names as heroes make their way toward the red carpet.
Reporter: “Over here! Look this way!”
Reporter 2: “Can we get a comment about your agency?”
Reporter 3: “What are your thoughts on the current Hero Rankings?”
Inside the ballroom, the atmosphere is considerably more relaxed. Crystal chandeliers hang above a vast reception hall filled with professional heroes, agency representatives, sponsors, celebrities, journalists, and other influential figures from hero society.
Soft music plays while waiters move through the crowd carrying trays of drinks and appetizers.
Several familiar faces from U.A. are already scattered throughout the room.
Mina: “Okay, this place is incredible.”
Jiro: “You said that about the last three venues.”
Mina: “Because they were incredible.”
Kaminari: “I mostly care about the food.”
Kirishima: “There's an entire dessert table.”
Kaminari: “I officially love hero society.”
Iida: “Please remember that this is a professional event!”
Bakugo: “Nobody's stopping you from acting like a damn robot.”
Iida: “I am simply encouraging proper conduct!”
Midoriya stands nearby speaking with another Pro Hero when something catches his attention. His eyes widen slightly.
Midoriya: “Wait…”
He looks toward the entrance.
Midoriya: “Is that—?”
Mina follows his gaze.
Mina: “No way.”
Her expression immediately brightens.
Mina: “They're here!”
Kirishima: “Seriously?”
Kaminari: “It's been forever!”
Jiro glances toward the entrance, a small smile appearing on her face.
Jiro: “Well, this just got more interesting.”
Todoroki, standing a short distance away, quietly turns his attention toward the entrance as well.
Todoroki: “I didn't know they were attending.”
Bakugo: “Hmph.”
Kaminari: “You totally knew.”
Bakugo: “I didn't.”
Mina: “You looked over before anyone else did.”
Bakugo: “Shut up.”
Across the ballroom, Aizawa watches the growing commotion with his usual exhausted expression.
Aizawa: “It's been less than ten minutes.”
Present Mic: “And already we've got a reunion!”
Aizawa: “That's what I'm afraid of.”
The gala continues around them, completely unaware that one of Class 1-A's former connections has just arrived.
Several familiar faces begin making their way toward the entrance.
