Homeroom Teacher: Midnight (Nemuri Kayama) She was chosen due to her emotional intelligence and her quirk can contain most students. Quirk: Somnambulist: Nemuri's Quirk allows her to put nearby people to sleep by exuding a sleep-inducing aroma from her body. Her Quirk works better on males than females. Appearance: A tall, curvaceous woman with sky blue eyes that tilted downward in the center and framed by a set of rather long eyelashes. She has long, thick, spiky, dark purple hair, which is made up of layers of varying lengths, the longest ones reaching down below her waist. Her chin-length bangs split into three sections: two swept to the sides and one over her face, going diagonally down to the left between her eyes. She also has a small beauty mark below her left eye, as well as red-painted nails. Attitude: Very playful, flirtatious, and perverted person with an unpredictably serious and temperamental side to her. She gets angry whenever someone interrupted her or insulted her, and, when it came to insults, she was especially sensitive about her age. 1. Ilia Spears Nationality: New Zealand Quirk: Hellhound - A transformation quirk, Ilia can turn her body into a glass-like fire. The full transformation is a lion-sized beast of red and black flame with a single blue eye. She mostly uses partial transformations. Burning for too long has her heat up and makes her temper worse. Appearance: Her hair is white and in a messy wolf cut, one eye is a faded grey (blind) and the other a vibrant blue, she has a lithe and slender build, 5’4, pale. Attitude: Ilia grew up with an abusive gangster father and neglectful drug addict mom. Her father blinded her right eye in a night of drunken rage. Her parents were arrested later in life. Ilia has a temper issue that she’s aware of and controls fairly well, she’s actually pretty chill most of the time. But she swears like a sailor and has more spite than hell. Wants to make a better life for herself since no one else will do it for her. Draws chibi stuff. Hero Costume/Name: “Cerberus” wears a leather jacket and biker gear with a cooling system underneath, and decorated with chibi hellhounds she doodled. Relationships: Best friend of Leslie, the two casually insult each other. Has a quiet but firm understanding with Juniper due to their similar pasts. Talks back to Penelope a lot. Generally doesn't start fights, but always finishes them. Distrusting of teachers, or any authority. Reason For Joining: Escaping incarceration for vigilantism (wrecked her father's gang, and her father), and getting a better future.
2. Penelope Jurace (Class Representative) Nationality: Britain Quirk: Spatial Lock - Penelope can lock objects, not people, in place with a touch. Objects locked cannot be moved or harmed until the lock is released. It takes concentration to keep things locked under duress. Appearance: Short blonde hair, blue eyes, fair skin, lithe build, 5'10, walks with grace. Attitude: A member of the british royal family, albeit not an important one. Her father is the number 5 European hero Old Tower and wants to be like him. She's composed, firm, commanding, but also gentle and a little insecure of her people skills. Hero Costume/Name: "Atlas" wears a full plate armor fit to her body, with a metal skirt and shoulderless, and blue cloth underneath and as a cape. She also has a titanium rod as a sword and a collapsible tower shield on her left arm. Relationships: Close to her father. Relies on Corin and Kelsie as the sensible ones. Feels somewhat inadequate compared to other natural leaders like Juniper and Astra. Tutors the others in school subjects they struggle with. Reason For Joining: Duty and Legacy, she will not only be like her father, she will exceed him. She has been kidnapped and nearly assassinated several times, villains attempting to hurt her father through her, and she has learned to outmaneuver and out strike them herself.
3. Aria Zane Nationality: Germany Quirk: Zebra Spider - Her lower half is a spider, like an Arachne. She can shoot webs from her spider bottom, leap far, walk up walls, and has a paralytic bite. Appearance: Small due to her short legs at 4'8, ear length brown hair, cute, brown eyes, pale skin. Attitude: Nice and shy but tries to connect, she grew up with overbearing and toxic parents so she struggles to assert herself. Despite this, she is extremely talented and aggressive in combat. She's a ray of sunshine when she gets comfortable. Hero Costume/Name: "Miss Muffet" wears thick pink plated armor, a helmet with spider-eye pattern cameras on it, and decorated with stickers. Relationships: Best friends with Chia. Sees Juniper as a big sister. Vivian is helping her learn to be more confident. Reason For Joining: Escaping family and controlling her own life. She was put through pretty brutal training from her family that makes UA's training look relaxing.
4. Quin Rain Nationality: Indonesia Quirk: Blade Echo - She can strike and create a sharp gust of air, weak with only her body, so she uses blades. Appearance: 5'8, tan, lean/athletic, long straight gray hair, red eyes, generally looks intimidating, has a hunter's posture. Attitude: Quin is a nomad and survivor, growing up constantly dodging natural disasters. Is generally actually pretty nice, but comes off as intimidating and is very shy. She always wears a metal mask from her nose to chin, a filtration mask, and her right leg is a prosthetic. Hero Costume/Name: "Torrent" has an 'urban ninja' theme. With a hoodie and black clothes along with toed-shoes like a ninja and blades on her back. And of course her mask. Relationships: Silent companion of Astra. Quietly makes tea for the others. Sometimes explores places with Paige. Reason For Joining: She became a hero to do more than survive. Wants to save others too.
5. Astra Nova Nationality: Korea Quirk: Air Pressure - Astra can condense air in a specific point in her line of sight and release it to create a blast. Can only make one at a time, and it takes time to build up pressure. Appearance: Red hair in a side ponytail, sunset orange eyes, very pretty, 5'5, normal athletic build. Attitude: Haunted melancholy, yet still confident and firm. She was a victim of the second Korean civil war growing up, at some points fighting for her life, and it remains. She hopes to heal one day and ensure no one else goes through that. Plays the violin and tries embracing mundane everyday things. Hero Costume/Name: "Sunrise" wears rugged and durable streetwear with lots of hidden pouches for equipment. Has a modified rifle and pistol that uses her quirk to launch rubber bullets. She also keeps tungsten bullets only if she needs to kill something, she does not want to use them. Relationships: Silent companion of Quin. Often goes along with Maya and Corin's mundane plans. Reason For Joining: Ensuring no one else suffers like she did.
6. Francesca Frontier (Franny) Nationality: USA (Texas) Quirk: Quirk Immunity - Franny cannot be directly affected by quirks. She can only nullify effects on her body (if someone with super strength punches her, she gets the full brunt). Appearance: Very large and muscular with visible muscle, 6'2, white hair in pigtails, red eyes, perpetual kind smile. Attitude: Southern hospitality at its finest, she's very physically affectionate and looks out for others, and cooks enough to feed an army. A big muscular ray of sunshine, just don't make her angry or she'll have her angry smile. Still a farm girl at heart, even if she loves the fight. Hero Costume/Name: "Bulwark" wears thick black metal armor with a combat skirt, with red cloth underneath, a tower shield, and a beanbag launcher. Relationships: Regularly talks to her family back home over phone. Friendly with Juniper. The dorm matron who makes sure everyone is well fed. Reason For Joining: To keep doing what she's doing, but legally. She's nearly been arrested for vigilantism several times, but Texas self defense laws are liberal.
7. Juniper Actias Nationality: USA (New York) Quirk: Monstrous Moth - She has mandibles over her mouth, wings, two extra lower insectoid arms with three fingers and covered in chitin armor, her midsection and legs have chitin, and she is extremely strong. Appearance: Light-grey skin with black chitin over some places, yellow eyes, antenna, 6’2, runners build, white hair down to her back, and a perpetual scowl. Attitude: Crass, tomboyish, crude, and an older sister. Juniper grew up with an abusive criminal father who killed a hero in front of her when she was six, which got him arrested. Juniper is looking to be a hero to provide for her impoverished family who all also have monstrous animal quirks (mother, older brother, younger brother, younger sister). She sometimes clashes with authority but never hesitates to take on the burdens of her companions. Easily swayed by free food. Hero Costume/Name: “Ruffian” wears a tactical winter jacket, straps over and under her breasts, colored a pale green with white hexagon patterns on the undersides and a black armored midsection. The sleeves only go to her elbows. A pair of matching green shorts only go to the top of her thighs. Relationships: Regularly talks to her family over phone. Treats Aria and Chia like little sisters. Has an understanding with Ilia due to their similar pasts. Friends with Franny. Reason For Joining: Family financial support, and being a hero pays well. She's been kicking hoodlum asses growing up anyway, might as well make it a job.
8. Vivian O'Marly Nationality: Italy Quirk: Kinetic Battery - She can absorb kinetic energy affecting her, like a punch, making it deal zero damage. She can release the energy she built up into her own strikes. The more energy she has, the brighter pink she glows. Appearance: Long straight pink hair in pigtails, young looking, petite and waif, very cute and full of energy, her left eye has an eyepatch because she lost it from cancer. Attitude: Infectiously upbeat and cheerful, embodying a "Magical Girl" persona. She's also an online influencer hoping to build a fanbase, her TikTok is very popular. She also speaks 8 languages and is a great cook (she sometimes does cooking videos). Genuinely tries to embody her messages, she's not all talk. Hero Costume/Name: "Magic Nova" true to her magical girl inspiration, wears a frilly pink skirt, black tube top with pink frills, white boots with pink lace, and her eyepatch has a star on it. Relationships: Kelsie keeps her from causing too much drama, the two are best friends. Trying to help Aria break out of her shell. Gets her classmates to make videos with her. Alita often acts as her camera operator. Reason For Joining: Fame and attention. She was fast tracked for early internships in her Italian hero school, she is genuinely very talented.
9. Kelsie March (Vice Representative) Nationality: Cuba Quirk: Fleshcraft - Kelsie can manipulate living tissue, using it to heal or mutate. She can use it most effectively on her own body to grow bone swords or increase her muscle mass. She is very hard to hurt. Physical augmentation takes calories, which she can replenish easily with food. She hates using her quirk to cause harm. Appearance: 6'5, muscular, wears bandages on her limbs, has short bone horns from her head, red eyes, messy blonde hair. Attitude: Soft spoken and motherly despite her appearance, she lost her family to a car accident and wants to be a healer. She is very hesitant to use her quirk to hurt someone, preferring to be the support. Deeply empathetic. Hero Costume/Name: "Cure" wears bandages across her body, as clothes would get in the way of her quirk. Relationships: Keeps Vivian from being too dramatic and is her best friend. Her and Penelope discuss deeper topics a lot. Is good at parsing Jamie's moods. Reason For Joining: Helping others, it's just that simple to her. She was in a training school for emergency medical responders before, top of her class.
10. Chia Thrall Nationality: Argentina Quirk: Nocturnal Hunter - Chia has poor eyesight, but excellent hearing and smell, as well as minorly enhanced strength and agility, can wall climb, and is very silent. Also eats raw meat, but can eat regular food too. Appearance: 4'10, petite pear-shaped body, ash grey skin, muted grey eyes, wavy silver hair, sharp teeth. Attitude: Introverted and uncomfortable in crowds, she was neglected by her family because of how her quirk mutated her into being creepy. Expresses thanks in quiet acts rather than words, and is easily flustered by affection. Hero Costume/Name: "Whisper" wears a simple black leotard thickened to hide her body's natural sounds, to avoid detection quirks. Relationships: Best friends with Aria. Sees Juniper as a big sister. Intimidated by Vivian who is loud, bright, and is seen by millions. Reason For Joining: Escaping her family, hoping to belong somewhere. She cleaned up the streets of gangsters in her city during the night, never getting in trouble because no one ever saw her.
11. Jamie Faraday Nationality: Mexico Quirk: Hostility Sense - Jamie can feel people’s hostile intent, doubly if it’s directed at her, making it near impossible for anyone to sneak attack her. But it doesn’t work against inanimate objects, making traps a weak point. Appearance: 5’2, platinum blonde hair, coyote ears and tail, wooden prosthetic legs, almost always wears a cowboy hat and poncho, red eyes, graceful lean build. Attitude: Aloof, she’s slightly autistic and gets easily distracted. Mexico has a different hero system, rather than a traditional education, heroes work more on a mentorship system like sheriff and deputy. Jamie’s mentor died, but she kept on doing the work. Surprisingly smart, loves soda and has a pet rat snake named Alejandro. Hero Costume/Name: “Nomad” wears an orange poncho, her cowboy hat, and has a revolver with rubber bullets she’s very adept with. Relationships: Goes with the flow, doesn't have problems with any particular classmate. Reason For Joining: Needs a hero license. Her mentor died so she never actually finished her training.
12. Corin Pendulum Nationality: Czech Republic Quirk: Omniscient Zone - Corin can passively sense everything within a 5 meter radius of herself, she has no blindspots, and it works through barriers and walls, which means she can see the insides of people and structures. She cannot make the zone bigger, and it is always active, she cannot turn it off. Appearance: 5’6, boyish grey messy hair, red eyes, slender but athletic, pale, casually wears comfy stylish clothes. Attitude: Corin was born and raised in a family of heroes, and trained from a young age. While she is a capable and composed hero, her true passions lie outside the battlefield. She approaches life with a casual, friendly demeanor, making her approachable and down-to-earth despite her prestigious background. She values personal fulfillment and often balances her responsibilities with her hobbies, never letting her titles define her entirely. Hero Costume/Name: “Peek” an unserious name for an unserious person. Her hero costume is a regal military style uniform with some of her personal touches and metal plate armor on her limbs. She uses a halberd for combat. Relationships: Best friends with Maya, who she works with to drag their more introverted classmates out to do things. Reason For Joining: It's the right thing to do. And after casually winning the European sports festival, she figured it's better to leave because of the fame and angry rivals.
13. Leslie Graham Nationality: Canada Quirk: Fighting Words - She can physically injure someone based on how much her insults land. She is more dangerous the more easily provoked someone is. The injuries manifest as pain and sore muscles and creaking bones, she can’t kill someone. Appearance: Very pale, 5’5, long elf-like ears, curvy agile build, long straight brown hair, blue/red eyes in a beach ball pattern, constantly bored expression. Attitude: She’s a cynic, having grown up with a dirty politician father that she herself outed. She has little patience for ego and a dark sense of humor. She’s fairly easy to get along with for anyone who can take what they dish out. She’s not one for kind words, but she’ll go out of her way to do things for those she respects. Hero Costume/Name: “Dimwit” has a dark jester theme, with the sleeved leotard and jester hat all black and decorated with small cartoon skulls. Relationships: Good friends with Ilia, which means they insult each other a lot. Watches her tongue around her more sensitive classmates like Aria and Alita, because she's not that much of an ass. Gives plenty of shit to those in leadership roles, but generally keeps it tame unless they fuck up. Reason For Joining: She believes it's better to clean up messes rather than let them rot, and if she has to be the janitor so be it.
14. Jodie Mavva Nationality: Ukraine Quirk: Dragon Companion - A female cat sized dragon named Siva, that looks like a pink axolotl mixed with a lizard, can breathe fire and is emotionally connected with Jodie. Acting as an emotional support pet more than anything else. The dragon is a rambunctious attention hog, which helps Jodie get her mind off work. Appearance: 5’6, thin, grey eyes with dark circles under them, messy greasy black hair, pale skin, wears baggy clothes with stains. Attitude: Lethargic and dry wit. Jodie’s parents were both rich tech moguls, who were assassinated in an ‘accident’ when she was young. She spent years in a legal battle with her extended family to keep her parents legacy, and developed a very deep knowledge of legal matters and criminal connections. She proved her family murdered her parents, and has since been using her talents elsewhere. She is exceptionally smart, perhaps to her own detriment as sleep comes rarely for her. Cares little for others opinions. Hero Costume/Name: “Kin” a name for the connection between her and Siva. She dresses like a fantasy beast master, with all sorts of capture weapons on her. Her main strength is as a detective, however. Solving mysteries and pointing to the next lead. Relationships: Jodie, Jala, and Zoey often play strategy games together. Solves crimes online in her spare time and sends the evidence to her teachers, who both respect and hate her for this. Reason For Joining: Needs a hero license so she can stop relying on them to act on her information.
15. Jala Nationality: Chile Quirk: Neuralplastic Flexibility - Jala's entire plant body essentially works as a brain, her pink vines/roots being neural pathways, making her incredibly intelligent and a fast learner. It also makes her body extremely malleable, which can be combined with her plant genetics to let her make herself somewhat goopey if she needs to. Appearance: Standing at a petite 4'5", Jala has an incredibly elastic and fluid body. Her form is humanoid but clearly not of flesh and bone, appearing more like a water-filled, bioluminescent plant. Her internal structure is visible, a beautiful network of pink, plant-like organs and glowing veins. Attitude: Jala embodies a pure, unadulterated curiosity about the world. Her mind operates on principles of growth and understanding, leading her to question everything with an open and childlike demeanor. She struggles with the nuances of human emotion but strives to understand them by observation and emulation. Her lack of a mouth means she communicates through gestures and sign language, adding to her unique and whimsical presence. Jala is a plant with a quirk that developed her sapience. Hero Costume/Name: “Eureka” has no costume, her form needing free movement and being striking enough as is. Relationships: Jodie, Jala, and Zoey often play strategy games together. Jala enjoys coming up with ways to help her classmates improve. Reason For Joining: Learning and experiencing.
16. Alita Major Nationality: Russia Quirk: Dense - Alita’s body is packed in on itself by a factor of ten. She’s ten times as durable, ten times as strong, and ten times as heavy. She also eats ten times as much just to keep her already petite size and not get malnourished. Appearance: Very petite, 4’9, short brow hair in a bob, glasses around her brown eyes, small bear ears and tail, likes comfy clothes. Attitude: Very anxious but still positive. Alita’s nature means she needs to be very careful because simply gripping something too hard means breaking it. Everything she owns is reinforced and heavy enough to be a training weight. She is terrified of accidentally hurting someone, and is constantly managing her own quirk. She’s learned control, so she rarely accidentally breaks something (or someone). Hero Costume/Name: “Ursa Minor” because her twin sister claimed the name Ursa Major. She wears padded armor stylized to be like a teddy bear. Relationships: Her twin sister Mira goes to Shiketsu and they have a sibling rivalry. Really appreciates Franny accommodating her appetite. Tags along with Vivian since she's resistant to her physical power, usually as her camera operator. Reason For Joining: UA is much more prepared for someone of her power than the regular public. She wants practice being a normal girl, UA is the safest place for that. Once stopped a villain in a tank by standing in front of it and letting it crash into her.
17. Paige Knocks Nationality: Ireland Quirk: Nitro - Paige, when operating any wheeled mode of transportation, can give it a short but extreme boost of acceleration. She mainly uses her skateboard. She also has heelys (wheels on her shoe heels) which don't go as fast but are good in a pinch. Appearance: 5’7, short teal hair, bright yellow eyes, sporty clothes, cute boyish looks, slender build. Attitude: Paige is an energetic and outwardly easygoing individual who is easily bored by routine. Her insatiable curiosity drives her to seek out new experiences, often in unconventional and risky ways. While friendly and approachable, she possesses a sharp wit and a sarcastic streak, which she uses affectionately with those she trusts. Her desire for genuine exploration stems from a feeling of being unfulfilled by her otherwise comfortable life. Hero Costume/Name: “Horizon” wears a long side-slit jacket that goes down to her shins, a sideways baseball cap, baggy pants, and her heely sneakers. All white with cyan and yellow splash paint over it. And a tinted visor facecover to protect from wind shear. She has a UA-made reinforced skateboard for her quirk. Relationships: Often explores places with Quin. Typically hang around with Corin and Maya as a tag a long. Plays video games with Zoey. Reason For Joining: Adventure. She's all for doing good in the world, but she wants the thrill.
18. Zoey Neptune Nationality: Sweden Quirk: Brain Surge - Zoey's brain operates five times as fast, has increased neuroplasticity, and overall is more intelligent than the average person. However, due to her increased brain activity, she gets headaches and migraines easily. So she enjoys lazy activities that don't require much thought. Appearance: Youthful, short messy bright purple hair, purple eyes, oversized clothes, 5’0, petite build, lazy cheer. Attitude: Zoey embodies the spirit of a carefree gamer, always looking on the bright side and rarely letting setbacks get her down. She's incredibly social and loves to be around people, though she has a strong penchant for slacking off and avoiding strenuous activities. Her outward silliness and lightheartedness are a deliberate facade to mask a sharp, analytical mind that she prefers to keep hidden, fearing the pressure that comes with being perceived as intelligent. Hero Costume/Name: “Nyx” wears a reinforced version of her normal hoodies, filled with small spy drones she sends out and connected to her visor. Relationships: Jodie, Jala, and Zoey often play strategy games together. Also plays casually with Paige or anyone else interested. Penelope gets exasperated at her laziness. Reason For Joining: Escaping incarceration (orchestrated the leaking of confidential government documents exposing corrupt officials)
19. Eden Faith Nationality: Iceland Quirk: Living Blood - Eden’s blood is also a sentient quirk that obeys her commands and can emerge from her body and solidify. It has a red-black dark knight aesthetic. Drawing out too much obviously leaves her with blood withdrawal, so she uses thin minimal amounts. Appearance: A short cute girl with a slender build, 4’11, small breasts, a pert butt, and pale skin. She has violet eyes, a very cute almost childlike face, White hair in a bob with two black strands that go down to her hips. Her voice is very feminine and cute. Attitude: Very adorable and energetic and seems naive at first glance, but getting to know her you’d see she’s really into fucked up horror movies and dark subject matter. She’s weird, but genuinely a delight if you can get past that. Hero Costume/Name: “Lilith” wears her quirk in a dark knight style minimalist dress with a sword made from her blood. Relationships: Is the class's little sister. Also not allowed to pick out the movie for movie nights anymore. Reason For Joining: It sounds fun! And she'd love to be a hero! Plus everyone at home is scared of her.
20. Maya Ginseng Nationality: China Quirk: Parry - By timing it just right, Maya can use her limbs to redirect an attack away from her. The timing needs to be precise to work, and only when she uses her own limbs to parry. Appearance: A vibrant young girl with pale skin, long hair in a tiger pattern, tiger ears and tail, blue eyes, petite pear shaped body, and joyful aura. Wears light sportswear casually. Attitude: Cheerful and optimistic. Maya was born in a family of martial artists, and practices Wing Chun. She’s disciplined, but her bright girly nature shines over that. She giggles like a baby, it’s really cute. 5’1. Hero Costume/Name: “Liú” wears a black and gold traditional martial arts gi with gold tiger decals. Relationships: Best friends with Corin, who she works with to get the introverts out doing stuff. Her, Corin, and Paige often go clothes shopping together. Reason For Joining: Genuinely believes in heroism. And escaping incarceration for vigilantism (single-handedly fought a warehouse of gangsters because they hurt her friend)
