Minoru is a very short young teenage boy with a large, round head and puffy cheeks. His nose is small, stubby, and points slightly upwards, and he has an unusually distinguishable philtrum, oval-shaped eyes with large, black pupils, and notably thin eyebrows. He has a head of short dark purple hair with four large ball-shaped clumps resembling a mohawk.

At U.A., he wears the standard male uniform: a light gray blazer with dark turquoise trimmings over a white dress shirt, dark blue-green dress pants, a red tie, and plain brown shoes. It is modified due to his short stature, with only one button on the jacket.

His Hero Costume is simplistic, consisting only of a purple bodysuit and mask with a yellow cape, boots, and gloves. His pants are white with a lighter purple trim and orbs, and stick out quite a lot around his waist.

Minoru is timid but perverted to the point of infamy, which makes him unpopular with the girls and even some of the boys, who consider his interests and mannerisms depraved and rude. His mind frequently trails off to lewd thoughts, even in completely unrelated situations. When an opportunity to peep at the girls arises, Minoru becomes determined to take it, although this often leads to painful results or him being restrained so he won't cause trouble again. Minoru's interest in women is one of his motivations to become a hero, alongside general popularity. He is unashamed of those traits, openly admitting them out loud.

To add to this, Minoru has a huge jealous streak, often envying those who are seen as cool and attract female attention, while lamenting how seemingly simple and underpowered his Quirk is compared to his classmates. Occasionally, Minoru will try to act charming and impressive, though his efforts usually fail and often make him come off as obnoxious.

Minoru can be hypocritical, criticizing others for perceived perverted behavior, even if they are just misunderstandings. Minoru is one who always speaks his mind, even when it comes off as harsh and insulting due to his comments being more on the cynical side. He also has a more teasing and goading side, even when he's not being perverted and has a habit of jeering at others for fun.

However, Minoru is not a bully and does express fear and concern when others are hurt or in danger. When putting his perverted and unpleasant character aside, there are times when he can be genuinely kind and friendly, such as when he assured Ochaco Uraraka that Izuku would recover from his surgery, or when he ran to comfort Izuku Midoriya after the latter returned to U.A. High School following the civilians' angry protest to keep him out. Furthermore, despite his crass attitude, Minoru isn't beyond realizing when he may have offended someone, as seen when he apologized to Mezo Shoji for calling him an octopus while the latter explained his past of being abused because of his appearance.

Minoru easily freaks out in moments of great stress or fear, acting impulsively, crying when the situation does not look favorable, and abusing his Quirk recklessly, to the point of hurting himself. Minoru isn't a very confident fighter and may attempt to flee in highly disadvantageous situations whenever the opportunity presents itself. During his time at U.A. however, Minoru has gradually become braver as he's continued to learn and grow alongside his classmates, standing his ground even when overpowered and clearly terrified.

While Minoru is well known for freaking out and crying excessively, more serious events can lead him to a state of severe shock and denial, something shown just after the Paranormal Liberation War, where he was clearly traumatized upon witnessing the deaths of several Heroes, saying that the whole thing must have been a horrible nightmare. Likewise, when Yuga Aoyama was discovered to be an unwilling mole for All For One, Minoru refused to believe that his classmate could have willingly betrayed them and that he must have been brainwashed.

Minoru is shown to be surprisingly intelligent, able to score very high on tests and be in the top half of Class 1-A's grades, despite being considered a slacker by most of the class. At the same time, though, he also displays a very smug and complacent side whenever his aptitude is noticed, and his confidence often proves to be quite unbalanced: either strongly doubting himself or feeling highly overconfident. Additionally, Minoru can develop creative and competent strategies to achieve victory, pushing through his flaws when needed. This intuition was best seen when he outsmarted Midnight and passed the Practical Exam.

Another one of Minoru's ambitions is to be popular, trying everything in his power to be loved by everyone, oblivious of his perverted behavior being the reason why he isn't. His attempts usually fail, as everything he does gets him nowhere in popularity, only being good friends with Denki Kaminari and Izuku Midoriya and having an on-and-off friendship with Tsuyu Asui, while the rest of the class doesn't talk to him often. While Minoru wants to be cool or popular, he is frowned upon by many girls and even some boys due to his personality.

Despite his bad qualities and nervousness, Minoru proves he can rise to the occasion when needed. He can showcase his fierce courage and aptitude when it truly matters and can usually be reinforced with encouragement. He shows this most of all during times such as the Provisional Hero Licensing Exam, as well as when he helps his classmates face incredibly powerful and dangerous opponents such as All Might (who was masquerading as a villain), Nine, and Gigantomachia. Minoru can also be just as heroic and selfless as the rest of Class 1-A. During the Final War, even after he and his companions were ruthlessly defeated by All For One, he used his remaining strength to plead to the villain to spare his classmate Fumikage Tokoyami and to take his Quirk instead, even though this would have certainly ended his dream of becoming a Hero.

Mina is a young teenage girl with an athletic, solidly built figure, a little broader than that of some of her female classmates. According to her official profile, she has "healthy" thighs.[1] Due to her Quirk, her skin has a purplish-pink tone.[1] She has large, slightly squarish eyes with black sclerae and golden-yellow irises, and short lashes along her lower lids and at the outer corners of her eyes. Minoru Mineta once remarked that she is extremely athletic.

She wears her pink hair in a tousled, chin-length wolf cut with bangs. Her hair is about as light as her skin, but a purer pink. Her skin, by contrast, has a slight violet tint. She also has two thin, pale yellow horns that bend at sharp right angles and point diagonally outward to either side. They seem to be slightly flexible and can bend a little to each side.

At Mustafa Private Middle School, she wore a white sailor uniform with a black Kansai-style collar and a black skirt, both trimmed with a single white stripe, along with a red scarf tied below the collar, white knee-high socks, and brown outdoor shoes.

At U.A., she wears the standard female uniform: a gray blazer with two dark green stripes, two flap pockets, and two gold buttons over a white shirt and a red tie with a small gold button, a dark green pleated skirt, knee-high socks, and brown dress shoes.

Her hero costume, Prism Sky,[5] consists of a plain white mask with thin lines over the eyes and a skintight purple and turquoise camouflage bodysuit (with a leopard-like pattern in the manga) that ends in a strapless sweetheart neckline. Over it, she wears a cropped, sleeveless beige waistcoat with a white fur collar, which she leaves open. Her custom-made, acid-proof boots in plum and beige have holes in the soles, allowing her to release acid from her feet and slide around.

Mina is a cheerful, easygoing girl who is almost always smiling. She is very sociable and excitable, loves hanging out with her friends and gets upset when she misses out on a get-together. She also has a strong sense of fashion and enjoys shopping and chatting with her friends.

Dancing is her great passion, and thanks to her athleticism and energy, she is very good at it. She learned to breakdance as a little girl and later even used her skills for street performances.[6] When she teaches others to dance, however, she drops her usual happy-go-lucky attitude and turns into a strict perfectionist. She is also known to somehow use her dancing to calm down even people who are on bad terms with others.

She is a romantic at heart and takes a keen, often intrusive interest in other people's love lives. Her suspicions are usually baseless, though, as she sees almost any pairing as a potential couple, no matter how well the two actually match.

Mina struggles with her studies and tends to laugh it off, even though her anxiety and frustration are obvious. Her classmates consider her one of the class airheads, second only to Denki Kaminari, but with proper tutoring, she studies with real dedication.

Despite her carefree nature, she is remarkably brave and is seen as having an ideal personality for hero work. In middle school, she spoke out against bullying and even won some of the bullies over with her upbeat, easygoing manner. She is willing to put herself in danger to protect others, although she has a hard time dealing with the fear and pain afterwards. She lied to Gigantomachia to protect her friends from his rage and got him to leave, only to break down in tears of fear and relief once he was gone.

Kyoka is a young, petite teenage girl with a slender build. She has black, triangular eyes, with notably long lower eyelashes and small eyebrows. Her dark-purple hair is chin-length, with an asymmetrical fringe that has two reflections shaped like sound waves on either side. She also has two chin-length strands framing her face, and keeps the rest up to her neck. Her most prominent features are the flexible, plug-like earphone jacks hanging from each of her earlobes; they act like extra limbs that she is able to control at will and change their length if so desired.

At U.A., she wears the regular U.A. uniform for female students. It is topped with a gray dress jacket, two teal stripes, two pockets with folds, and two golden buttons. Underneath, she wears a white dress shirt, a red tie with a small, golden button, and a teal pleated skirt. She also wears brown dress shoes and knee-high socks.

Her Hero Costume consists of a black leather jacket, a long salmon-colored shirt with several rips at the collar and hem, black pants, and boots with stereos built into their shafts. She also has two small, triangular red paint marks just below her eyes, a plain black choker, and white fingerless gloves.

Kyoka has a pragmatic, unenthusiastic, blunt, and teasing personality that is mostly shown to those she finds irritating or those like her classmate Denki Kaminari, whose cluelessness makes him an easy target for her snarky comments. Kyoka is not always like this, though, as she does enjoy socializing with others, in which case she is usually nice and friendly, most notably with Momo Yaoyorozu and the other girls in her class.

Kyoka often gesticulates through her elongated earlobes in place of her hands.[8] She can also be quite aggressive, evidenced by when she uses the Earphone Jacks her Quirk provides to physically punish people when provoked or to keep them in line via jabbing them in the ear or neck, most notably Denki and Minoru Mineta when they make inappropriate comments. During Hero activities, however, Kyoka prefers smarter approaches, usually by coming up with a plan herself. She is surprisingly organized and makes sure to convey her ideas in a way that's easy to understand.

Despite the fact that she comes off as cold and indifferent, Kyoka also has a much more sensitive side, being very defensive towards her friends, empathetic with others' feelings, and getting flustered when her talents and capabilities are brought up.[9][10][11]

While Kyoka is hard to unnerve or surprise, she is afraid of horror-based activities and has an aversion to nudity. She is a bit self-conscious about her looks and style as well, becoming noticeably upset when she was not seen as attractive by Minoru, and attacking Denki and Yuga Aoyama for commenting that her dorm room was "unladylike".

Like her parents, Kyoka has a major interest in rock music and owns several instruments which she is able to play to some extent. However, she seemed to be somewhat embarrassed about her interests at first, because she perceived them as completely unrelated to heroism, but thanks to encouragement from a few of her classmates, most notably Denki, and a great presentation during the U.A. School Festival, she was able to outgrow that mindset.

During the Final War, Kyoka shows her growth as a Hero when she and Fumikage Tokoyami face All For One in the sky, aided by Hawks. Despite feeling intense fear from All For One's presence, recognizing the overwhelming evil that Izuku has been facing this whole time, Kyoka manages to power through. She dismisses All For One's derisive comments about her being one of the "gnats around One For All", expressing her rage towards the Demon Lord for targeting and hurting Izuku and Yuga Aoyama.

Although she lost an ear in the process, Kyoka's efforts helped force All For One on the defensive, allowing him to almost be beaten by Endeavor. Kyoka then aids Ochaco Uraraka and Tsuyu Asui in stopping Himiko Toga and her rampaging army of clones, and much later, arrives to help Izuku during the final battle alongside the rest of her classmates and fellow Heroes.
