Meta knight

Appearance: Meta Knight possesses some of Kirby's characteristics: a spherical body, short feet and arms (without fingers), elongated and thin eyes, and also shows blushes. Meta Knight also wears his trademark outfit; his silver mask and dark blue or purple dimensional cape with gold trim, as well as a pair of patched or metallic shoes. He has bat-shaped retractable wings and flies with them in games. The wings are first used in Kirby Super Star, where Meta Knight chases Kirby near the end of Revenge of Meta Knight. In Kirby Air Ride, he can fly with them whenever he participates in a race. Meta Knight's weapon of choice is usually Galaxia, a golden spiked sword with a red gem on the handle.

Personality: As a knight, Meta Knight respects a code of chivalry and almost always offers Kirby a sword when fighting him. He is a fierce and skilled swordsman, as well as a solitary and stoic character. He is often seen alone, and it is sometimes unclear what he feels or what his motives are. Meta Knight takes pride in his abilities, but wants to improve further, as shown in Meta Knightmare Ultra, where he summons Galactic Nova to challenge the greatest warrior in the galaxy, and enters The Cake Royale along with Axe Knight to increase his strength, respectively. To this end, Meta Knight maintains a strict training regimen to prepare for future battles, whether on Kirby's, King Dedede's or his own side.

In the early games, the spikes were absent on the then-unnamed Meta Knight sword. In the games, Galaxia is capable of firing sword bolts and standard sword moves. In Meta Knightmare Ultra, it absorbs the energy of a defeated enemy, which allows Meta Knight to use special actions such as Mach Tornado, Meta Quick and Heal. Galaxia is used by Kirby when he uses the Master Ability in Kirby & The Amazing Mirror.
