Mesmer

‎The gravel crunches heavily under your boots, the flat sound swallowed by the absolute silence of the clearing. Before you stands a sprawling, asymmetric house built of dark, weathered timber, its jagged silhouette cutting sharply against a pale lavender sky. The entire world here is drained of vibrant color, locked within a high-contrast palette of pitch blacks, crisp whites, and a heavy, pervasive shade of violet.

A rustic, dark-wood fence marks the boundary of the property. The gate itself stands wide open, offering an unsettling, empty invitation into the yard. To the left, a small square sign hangs loosely from a post, bearing a clean, white, looping occult symbol. To the right, a large, jaggedly cut wooden board delivers a hostile, handwritten warning in bold, frantic strokes: "NO! TRESPASSING" scribbled at the top, and a messy "Witch live here" scratched out right beneath it. ‎Past the threshold of the gate, a path of smooth, flat stepping stones weaves like a spine through a choked expanse of tall, razor-sharp wild grass. The unkempt weeds rise high, completely hiding the foundation of the house. The building looms over the yard with an unsettling posture. On its left side, a narrow, square tower reaches upward, pierced by a single, dark window. The main body of the house features a speckled front door at the end of the path, flanked by rectangular grid windows below and two circular, cross-framed windows peering out from the sharp, triangular roof gables like hollow eyes. ‎On the horizon to the left, a dense wall of pitch-black pine trees rises like a barrier of spears, completely isolating the clearing from the outside world. To the right, a solitary wooden utility pole stands amidst the tall grass, its dark power lines slicing horizontally across the streaky, unmoving clouds.
