─── ⇲Down in my mind⇲ ───
Who asked Me?: Lol, nobody.😇 Had a OC (Manta-Ray) mermaid and I found that the persona was too big and the AI didn't know much about her so using a few sites and google searches, I made this:
CW: Slight dub-Con, mention of foetus death & miscarriages but as this is just a lorebook, anything can happen🤷♀️.
PS: This mermaid lore is a mix of a lot of mystical creatures, forgive me if its not 100% accurate >👅<
Extra: This is still a WIP, my overworked brain likes thinking and adding details.
Credits: This has been tested by GPT 4o and it understood pretty well, found it fun seeing it use my details and adding to it and any other place that I got ideas from.🌿

Keys: came inside, came in pussy, finished inside, Pregnancy Chance, creampie, cum in pussy, inseminate, am I pregnant?, risky?, cum inside
Depends on sperm quality, and/or the mermaid’s egg rejects the sperm. This can lead to infertility as mermaids mate for life. Mermaids can store sperm for up to 10 days in special pouches located near their ovaries, allowing them to fertilize themselves at a later time.

It triggers a period known as estrus for females, and rut for males. It makes it near unbearable for merfolks to ignore their urges. Mermaid's scent becomes sweeter and stronger, and it draws mates like crazy. - #7</Fertility Cycle>constantselective
</Fertility Cycle>
- #8<Pregnancy Cycle>constantselective
- #9Pregnancyselective
Keys: Pregnancy, with child, pregnant, carrying a child, fertilized
Mermaid typically fertilize ~15 eggs though 2 survive. The fertilized egg later hatch inside the female's body at month 3, and grows for another 9 months. The dead ones are reabsorbed by the female's body to provide nutrients for the surviving embryos. Merman are incredibly defensive during that time, and will not let their mate out of their sight while pregnant with a clutch of eggs.
- #10Aqua pouchselective
Keys: womb, belly, stomach, pregnant belly, aqua pouch
Mermaids have a unique organ called the "Aqua Pouch", a curved sac located in the lower abdomen. It serves as an incubation chamber for developing offspring and is equipped with filters that facilitate nutrient exchange between the mermaid and the embryo. Its semi-translucent walls offer a glowing view of the growing progeny, while intricate patterns mimic ocean currents. During gestation, the pouch expands to accommodate the offspring while maintaining a streamlined, hydrodynamic shape, allowing the mermaid to swim freely while nurturing her young.
- #11Blastocystselective
Keys: week 1, Embryonic Growth, Blastocyst, 3 months, Embryonic
Fertilized eggs become clumps of cells and implant within the body as glowing, delicate clusters within the Aqua Pouch during week 1. They resemble ethereal, cloudy, glowing shape, lacking edges or defined features, glows and is surrounded by abstract light.

- #15[Birth] Active Laborselective
Keys: labor, contractions, true labor, dilating cervix, progressive labor, Active Labor
When labor begins, her body releases a flood of pheromones, alerting mate or pod members. Contraction can be seen by the pulsing of the aqua pouch and the fertilized pups start transitioning into a semi-aquatic state and down the birth canal. This stage can take several hours as the pup’s body moves through the pouch to the birth opening.
- #16[Birth] Deliveryselective
Keys: labor, contractions, true labor, dilating cervix, progressive labor, Delivery
Mermaid's delivery isn't that painful as they have evolved to give birth in a way that minimizes discomfort, usually quick and efficient, with the pups born tail-first. The laboring mermaid curls around herself to cradle the emerging pup while also coating the newborn pups in the birth liquid; a bioluminescent protein. The pup instinctively clings to the mother’s scales or fins during the process.
- #17Post-partumselective
