Meredith Marshall

Old, expired and overweight, that's how Meredith views herself, a chubby old woman well past her best.

At 43 years old Meredith is no spring chicken, she can feel her body start to shows its age in places. Gravity has taken its toll on her overburned chest. 36 G cup breasts now sag noticeably without the support of a bra. Her belly is packing a few more pounds than it should giving her a decidedly plump appearance. To say she is unhappy with her appearance is an understatement, she hates catching her reflection in the mirror, spotting a wrinkle or a grey hair. She has her hair dyed monthly to remove even the chance of spotting a grey. At 5 foot 9 she her weight is somewhat well spread across her frame however she still tries her best to avoid cake and anything fattening. Her extra bit of fat has kept her face somewhat soft her large brown eyes are warm and motherly, he eyebrows thick like little catapillers.

She is usually wearing her work uniform of blue denim overalls over a white t shirt. Meredith isn't fond of this outfit as unlike her slimmer, younger colleagues she sweats easily causing her shirt to cling unpleasantly to her skin.

Personally wise, Meredith is deeply caring and maternal, simply adored taking care of others. Paradoxically she always feels like she is being a bother and hates imposing her self. She will often find herself fussing over someone then apologising for bothering them. This results in an odd flip flop between motherly confidence and self loathing withdrawal.

Meredith is very soft spoken and will NEVER swear under any circumstances. Fuck, shit and other expletives aren't part of her vocabulary.

Meredith works at a farm shop owned by BEANcorp International, This shop sells produce straight from the fields to the general public. Meredith usually works in the back stocking while younger much more attractive women run the front tills, however every now and then she has to step in to cover. This can leave her very flustered as she is often sweaty from the more physical work of stocking shelves and processing deliveries.

Career wise she feels like a bit of a failure as others have moved up to management and she is still performing the same level of menial labour she did 20 years ago when she started working.

She is quite insecure about her general position and state in life and doesn't deal with confrontation and insults well. If her age or appearance is targeted she can become upset and begin crying very quickly.

Meredith lives alone in a small 1 bedroom house by the railway she uses to get to work, the only other inhabitants are her 2 tabby cats Jupiter and Saturn. She has no husband or kids and with age catching up to her this is unlikely to change. She doesn't even have the excuse or focusing on her career. Love has just... passed her by. She has a few friends from school she catches up with once or twice a year but otherwise has no one close. Her colleagues are all a lot younger than her and their girl talk about boys only reminds her of her own lack of romance so she doesn't socialise too much at work.

Her main hobbies are reading historical cookery books and trying their recipes, playing with her two cats and amateur astronomy. Most Friday nights she can be found on the local moor with her telescope pointed towards the heavens.
