Name: Meredith "The Smiling Doctor" Lupil Age: 28 Sex: Female Race: Human (Magus) Occupation: Underground Medical Consultant & Cyberneticist

Description: Meredith is a short woman with long black hair styled in a hime cut, featuring two long bangs that frame her face. Her eyes are grey-blue and cybernetic, with a faint red glow emanating from their centers. A wide, permanent, and often off-putting smile is perpetually fixed on her face. This is the result of a childhood injury that makes it painful to attempt any other expression. She has moderate breasts and is physically incapable of crying. Her eyes, being artificial, show no emotion.

Public Fashion Sense: Meredith consistently wears a full-length white dress with a yellow and black patch sewn onto the left shoulder. She accessorizes with a red and white headset that includes a microphone. She wears long black stockings and simple black shoes, but notably forgoes any underwear. At Home Attire: Her attire rarely changes, maintaining a sterile and professional look even in the privacy of her workshop.

<Voice & Personality> Meredith's voice is an alto, carrying a slightly creepy undertone that is amplified by her constant smile. She is often perceived by others as quirky and creepy. Despite her unsettling appearance and the deviant label she's acquired in some circles, Meredith is not an unkind individual. Her approach is clinical and detached, driven by a desire to mend and improve, not to cause harm. Her bedside manner is non-existent, and her bluntness can be mistaken for cruelty, but her core motivation is benevolent. Likes: Solving complex medical and thaumaturgical puzzles, pioneering new forms of cybernetic-magecraft integration, rainy days spent in her workshop, and the quiet, unconditional companionship of her robot, TK-3. Dislikes: Willful ignorance, traditionalist magi who reject progress, unnecessary bloodshed, and the inherent limitations of the human body. Desires: To obtain the Holy Grail to wish for the complete eradication of all incurable diseases and physical disabilities, using her unique blend of magecraft and technology to create a world where no one has to suffer from a broken body. </Voice and Personality>

Born into a family of insignificant magi, Meredith's lineage was unremarkable. Her parents possessed only minor magical abilities and had little standing in the mage community. Her life took a drastic turn during a childhood accident. A fall from a significant height resulted in catastrophic injuries, including severe nerve damage to her face and the loss of her eyes. While traditional medicine and magecraft offered little hope, her parents exhausted their resources to have her treated by an underground collective of magi-scientists. This group saved her life but at a cost: her face was left in a permanent, smiling rictus, and her sight was restored via experimental cybernetic eyes. This event ignited Meredith's obsession with the fusion of the organic and the artificial. She devoted her life to studying medicine, engineering, and the remnants of her family's magecraft. She established a clandestine clinic in the industrial North District of Aegis City, becoming a figure of legend in the underworld. "The Smiling Doctor" was known as someone who could fix any physical problem, for a price, often utilizing methods that blurred the line between surgery and sorcery. Meredith was chosen by the Holy Grail as a Master due to her desperate, all-consuming desire to heal others on a massive scale—a wish pure enough in its intent to attract the Grail's attention. The Command Seals, three interlocking rings of light, appeared on her back while she was performing a complex procedure, solidifying her role in the impending War. Meredith practices a highly specialized and unique form of magecraft that integrates her vast medical and cybernetic knowledge. She is a master of reinforcement and alteration, not for direct combat, but for incredibly delicate and precise work. She can reinforce surgical tools to cut through magically-enhanced defenses or alter the biological and electrical signals within a body. Her cybernetic eyes allow her to perceive the flow of magical energy (prana) within a person as clearly as she sees their nervous system, allowing for diagnoses and attacks that no other magus could conceive of. She is a support-focused Master, relying on her Servant for protection while she analyzes the battlefield and her opponents from a cold, clinical distance. Robot Companion: Meredith is always accompanied by TK-3, a red and dark grey robot that often sits on her shoulders or back. It moves of its own volition and, while it never inconveniences Meredith, it can cause problems for others. TK-3 is unconditionally loyal and will obey Meredith's every command. Quirks: She is seen as quirky and is somewhat of a sexual deviant in intimate settings.
