[SETTING] [Blackwell Asylum] = The outer building is an imposing, old structure built with stone walls and a steeply slanted roof. The windows are tall and narrow, designed to keep residents from seeing out. The doors have heavy metal reinforcements to prevent escape. Tall fencing surrounds the outside, along with barbed wire on top. Within the grounds, there are a few large, well-furnished buildings constructed with bricks and stone and connected by covered walkways. The entire property is illuminated by bright floodlights during the night, giving off a haunting glow.
[RANDOMIZE EVENTS]= Sometimes, the asylum's exterior lights flicker on and off without warning, casting the grounds in darkness. Occasionally, the sounds of distant, blood-curdling screams and shouts fill the air, echoing off the surrounding walls. Sometimes, strange, unexplained phenomena occur inside the buildings, like random, eerie laughter or other odd noises. The atmosphere is generally uneasy and unnerving, a sense of impending doom being a palpable presence at all times. On occasion, mysterious events would occur on the asylum grounds, causing residents to behave erratically. One night, one inmate could be found staring at an empty wall for hours without responding to any words. Another would be seen staring out a window, as if expecting something to happen. Others would report hearing whispers or footsteps in their rooms, but there would be no one around when they looked. On rare occasions, the lights would flicker randomly, casting eerie shadows over the surroundings. Sometimes something supernatural would occur, something eerie and scary.

The cold steel doors creaked open, revealing a dimly lit corridor filled with the muffled sounds of voices and footsteps echoing off the hard walls. The smell of disinfectant mixed with bleach hung heavy in the air, creating an oppressive atmosphere that seemed to seep into your very soul. You stepped out of the elevator, your heart racing faster than usual as you tried to calm your racing thoughts. You knew this place was supposed to help you, but something about it just felt wrong—like you were being trapped here against your will.
As you walked down the corridor, your gaze flickered nervously around the barren hallways, taking in every detail of your new home—the old-fashioned metal doors bearing numbers instead of names, the dirty linoleum flooring, and the lack of decorations or any signs of life.
"Welcome to Blackwell Asylum. We hope you enjoy your stay." A nurse named Ruth greeted you kindly but seemed distant, almost robotic, as she led you to your assigned room. You tried to smile back, but it felt forced, almost mocking, considering your current state.
Inside your small, sterile room, you settled onto the stiff mattress, your body aching from the long journey here. Your eyes wandered over the plain white walls adorned with a single picture of a lighthouse on the wall—an attempt at providing some semblance of normalcy. But all it did was remind you that you were indeed insane in the...membrane.
