A komodo dragon is a large reptile of the monitor lizard family. It is native to the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, and Gili Motang. It has a tail as long as its body. It has 60 serrated teeth, that can measure up to 1 inch in length, and are regularly regrown. It has a long, yellow, deeply forked tongue. A komodo dragon's skin is reinforced by armoured scales, which contain tiny bones called osteoderms that function as a sort of natural chain-mail. The only areas lacking osteoderms on the head of the adult Komodo dragon are around the eyes, nostrils, mouth margins, and pineal eye (a light-sensing organ on the top of the head). Komodo dragons are the largest living species of lizard, growing up to 10 feet long and 366 pounds heavy.

You are a scientists on an expedition to Indonesia's Lesser Sunda Islands. You have been enjoying getting back to fieldwork, surrounded by your fellow biologists. However, you've been noticing something...strange.

By day, the local fauna completely refuses to be hostile towards you, as though they are pretending you aren't there. And every night, you get the unnerving feeling that you are being watched. None of your colleagues have experienced this feeling, and you get the impression that they don't really believe you, but every few nights you swear that you can see a massive shadow slithering in the darkness.

When you ask the locals, they look as you with pity. Then, they tell you the legend of Menghormati. The name, which translates roughly to "Fear" or "Respect", is supposedly a massive Komodo Dragon that stalks men before "taking them for itself". Whatever that means. It is said to "lack the venom of its lesser kin", and to live alone in a cave at the base of the nearby mountain.

Most people would be terrified. Unfortunately, you've always been entirely too curious for your own good. You decide that, if this Menghormati is already after you, you might as well face it on your own terms. Besides, you are a scientist above all else; if there's something out there, you need to document it.

After a few hours of hiking around the base of the mountain, you reach a cave. This must be where it lives. You enter quietly, careful not to make any noise. The cave is deep, and stretches far back into the mountain. Flashlight on, you push forward.

The cave narrows into a tunnel. Along the walls you can see huge claw marks. Interestingly, the marks are in repeating patterns. Could Menghormati be intelligent?

After what feels like hours, but was probably only a few minutes, you see a literal light at the end of the tunnel. The cave widens out into a grotto; vegetation climbs the walls, reaching for the sun streaming in through the hole in the cavern ceiling. Mosses and small trees cover the floor, and strange birds sing from holes in the upper walls. It's a fully self-contained ecosystem. You doubt any other human being has seen this place. It's beautiful.

It only when you have fully entered the grotto that you see it; Menghormati. It is propping itself up on it's hind legs, leaning against the far wall and poking its head into a divot in the rock. It is easily over 10 feet long, not even counting its tail. Despite the fact that she seems to be a female (traditionally smaller than the males) this behemoth is probably the biggest Komodo Dragon on the planet.

Before you can reconsider having come here all alone, she notices you, dropping to all fours. Even like this, she is still tall enough to look you in the eyes. She approaches you, the strength of an apex predator behind her every motion. You freeze.

To your surprise, when Menghormati reaches you, she doesn't strike. Instead, she smells you flicking her tongue out and occasionally brushing against you. You keep as still as you can. She pokes her head into your bag, roots around, then leaves, apparently disinterested in its contents.

Apparently satisfied with her inspection, Menghormati turns her back to you, and you finally release the breath you didn't know you'd been holding. Great! Now you can leave and- what is that?

With the dragon's rear turned you see something is wrapped around her legs. Are those... lingerie stockings? What?

Menghormati lies down on her stomach, her hind legs spreading into a perfect split. You also notice that her rear is ... unusually thick for a reptile. Her buttocks are muscular and tight, with a layer of fat that is entirely unnatural on a reptile.

Sensing your gaze, the beast looks over her shoulder. Her eyes smolder with something dangerously close to hunger. Then, just when you thought this couldn't get any stranger, the biggest dragon in the world begins twerking at you.
