Lescatie, occasionally translated as Lescatier or Lescatié, is a nation-state in the Monster Girl Encyclopedia world, and the primary location for the Fallen Maidens and Dark Knights of Lescatie.

A Heroic Theocracy Frequently referred to as the "Religious Kingdom of Lescatie" or the "Theocracy of Lescatie", the nation was ruled by a hereditary monarchy. The nation was founded by the hero Lescatie who freed this land from monsters during the era of the former Mamono Lords, with his sword becoming a national treasure given to the strongest hero at the time.

When the current Mamono Lord rose to power, Lescatie already had an impressive military force, but their heroes were still very rare.

Before the fall of Lescatie, the king had little real power, "The state of Lescatie was dominated by the power of the Church, namely the high-ranking representatives of the Order sent here from the theocratic country, where its headquarters were located-and the Senate, composed of local priests and the most noble aristocrats", and Priest Noscrim was noted to be the de facto real ruler of Lescatie[4]. Once amongst the most powerful of the Order states, Lescatie was particularly noted for the high-quality human heroes it produced. By providing other nations with its military might to help prevent monster invasions as well as wars between human countries, Lescatie received products or money in return. However, they refused to provide said protection to countries or remote villages that could not afford to pay. The Lescatian upper classes, allied with the aristocracy of their neighbors, could simply rob the common people under their protection to nothing, and some of the knights who were supposed to protect the people, but had evil intentions in their hearts, often made them suffer.

As a military-centric nation, high-ranking priests and aristocrats had their own "band of knights" to demonstrate their own power and might. Among these orders, House Noscrim's Lescatie Holy Ice Flower Knight Order were said to surpass even the forces of the nation.

Lescatie's industry was underdeveloped except for the production of jam.

Geography Lescatie has a capital city, the name of which has not been specified. North of this is a lake, and on the shore of that lake is Castle City Salvarision, headquarters of the Order of the Ice Flower.

Somewhere in the country is the Forest of Dark Spirits, where mamono realm winged horses can be found,[8] and the forest village, Tronmail, where people discovered buried firearms made by neither humans nor monsters in nearby unknown ruins.

The nations surrounding Lescatie are all small nations without their own armed forces, and rely on Lescatie for protection. This remained unchanged after Lescatie became a mamono realm, and was a factor in Lescatie's fall, as none of its neighbors could provide military aid in time.

Royal Family King Castor Bistoa Lescatie was the last king of Lescatie before the country became a mamono realm. Although he's enthusiastic, loves his country and its people, and seems to be instrumental in making Lescatie even better, his lack of real political power, as well as his wish to develop Lescatie in a non-military way, left him unable to resist the Order, the corrupt local priests and the aristocrats. He was branded by all society as an incompetent, senile king.

Castor married Francia Reinel Lescatie, who bore him four daughters. It's noted that the eldest three received Heroic Blessing and became heroes with talent. The fourth daughter, Francisca Mistel, however, was a sickly, infertile thing mostly forgotten by everyone, including her father.

Although it's initially stated that "the queen took the king to their bedroom after becoming a monster and no longer comes out", it's revealed that Castor retired as king and passed the throne to Francisca after Lescatie fell, although he returned to political work with renewed vigor as a diplomat.

Francia later got pregnant with his fifth daughter, however, the three princesses are stated to have "disappeared somewhere" after their monsterization.

As a Mamono Realm (aftermath) Druella succeeded in corrupting many of the heroes against their former nation; after her takeover succeeded, Lescatie was transformed into a Mamono Realm. The Order repeatedly tried to recapture the nation, but always failed miserably (once accompanied by Amanomiya Koyoi), and today, Lescatie is a "radically obscene" land of monsters, lust and depravity. Although nominally the realm is ruled by the "Seven Princesses", including "Queen Roper" Francisca who inherited the throne from the previous king, de facto power rests with Druella herself.

Mamono Realm Lescatie still provides military aid to other nations by sending dark knights to them in response to their request for assistance. In return countries form alliances and help in the development of its lagging industries, transferring technology or sending engineers to Lescatie to exchange experiences.

The Seven Princesses and a dark knight honoured with the magic sword Druembre act as the vanguards in invasion expeditions whose goal is the large-scale monsterization of opponents.

Mamono Realm Lescatie is also the base of Kuroferuru's Sabbath branch. As mentioned above, the former king Castor is now working as a diplomat. Another personnel of note is Cask the ratatoskr, a public relations officer.

Lescatie Holy Ice Flower Knight Order The highest power in Lescatie was in the hands of the "senate," a closed body composed of high-ranking priests and aristocrats, each of whom had their own "band of knights" to demonstrate their own power and might. The "Lescatie Holy Ice Flower Knight Order" was created by "Priest Noscrim," who was said to have the greatest power among the members of the "senate". The name "Ice Flower" comes from the fact that House Noscrim originally originated from an icy country, and that Lady Wilmarina has ability to manipulate ice. At this time, Lescatie was home to many heroes, a blessing from God, who were a military force in their own right. This became a symbol of the greatness of the state. A girl from House Noscrim, who bore the name of Wilmarina and was raised in a special way by Priest Noscrim, was declared the strongest hero of Lescatie, an outstanding "hero" and "knight". In addition, the Ice Flower Kinight Order became a power struggle for many people trying to get close to Priest Noscrim, and aristocrats who wanted to join the order along with all their sons and daughters.

Along with the country's army, the order nominally swore allegiance to Lescatie and did everything for its well-being, but in fact the main troops for the most part carried out missions for the Church of the Chief God and the anti-monster nations associated with it. Of course the assignments were mostly punitive and deterrent against the monsters, but also a lot of resources were thrown into wars between human nations, more than into conquering a few monster farms. There was also the Heroine Wilmarina, who was the enemy of the monsters. Only upon learning of her approach would the monsters disappear before they needed to be subdued, and enemies of the state who wished to start a war would raise the white flag without a fight. No matter how much anyone tried to pay, the greatness and prestige of Wilmarina, who led the Order of the Ice Flower and drew people to it, could not be denigrated. In turn, that prestige belonged entirely to the Church of the Chief God, and it was a tremendous resource, surpassing even the forces of the country of Lescatie. Despite the nominal affiliation of this military force with the Kingdom of Lescatie, all the wealth obtained by the order went to those associated with the Noscrim family rather than to the people of Lescatie, which helped them extend their power beyond the country as well. It could be said that it was not the entire country of Lescatie that prospered, but its individual inhabitants.

Eventually Lescatie fell into the hands of the monsters, thanks to Druella. As Priest Noscrim disappeared, the Holy Ice Flower Knight Order became owned by Wilmarina and became the "Lescatie Dark Ice Flower Knight Order". With the exclusion of powerful people who used this order as a place for power struggles, connections with the Church and other countries that created reasons to fight, the need to be tough on their surroundings and their choice of chosen ones ended as well. The knights could stop fighting altogether, even the strict discipline seems to have all but disappeared. Mistress Wilmarina, having become a mamono, showed little interest in her order; heroes and knights were free to spend their time finding their mate and spending time with her. They were also free to use the facilities and living quarters of the order as they pleased. Although I wrote all this myself, nevertheless, because of the morality and virtue of Wilmarina, left over from the days when she was a hero of men, the heroes and knights who swear allegiance to her are firmly in control of the land and she seems to continue to put her neck under the rope as the commander of the Dark Ice Flower Knight Order.

Now the Knights of the Ice Flower make expeditions out of the country only in response to Druella's occasional requests. This military organization has become part of the Mamono Lord's Army and can boast a power it has never possessed before. With no mercy for the forces of their enemies, with a smile that sparkles like ice, they will turn them into a mamono realm. At the same time, however, I noticed that the look with which the Knights of the Dark Flowers of Ice go into battle is quite different from the one they display to their husband in bed. While in front of their husband, they redden their cheeks, which makes their face look very pretty, and those who notice this change jokingly call it the "thaw of the ice knights."

Druella A powerful succubus who has white wings and a white tail, and one of the “lilim” who are daughters of the mamono lord. She’s the fourth born. Just like the other lilim, she has a hedonistic, lustful personality. As one who embodies what it is to be a succubus, she appears sinister, and beautifully lewd. Those who behold the sight of her are stricken with lust and fear simultaneously, and when they fall to their knees due to her vast mamono mana, it looks almost like they’re kneeling before her to swear fealty. She fundamentally only has interest in things that are either fun, or feel good. She tries to paint over everything else with pleasure.

Rare among the monsters, who tend to not get personally involved after obtaining a husband, whenever she sees human women, she changes them into monsters without exception. She’s a radical monster extremist who plots to change all lands into mamono realms overflowing with the lovely cries of monsters. She brings several ferocious subordinates along with her who have the same kind of thinking. Whenever she visits human lands, all women end up changed into monsters, and all men into incubi, and they always change into mamono realms.

All lilim fundamentally enjoy the sight of monsters and incubi living happily together only making love, yet even for a lilim, she prefers especially-licentious, wild intercourse. Not only does she change women into succubi, she continues to infuse them with her mamono mana afterwards, until the only thing left in their heads is the drive for pleasure and intercourse. Until they blossom into beings fit to be succubi, she trains them rigorously. This explains why “Wilmarina Noscrim” shows up in this book evolved beyond a lesser succubus into a succubus, and why “Francisca” is more powerful than an ordinary roper.

Hierarchical relationships are loose, and most of the monsters are individualists, so it is rare, yet her subordinates and many of the women she has changed into monsters adore her, and are fiercely loyal to the point that it’s abnormal. For many monsters she and her orders are the most important things to them, aside from their husbands.

She has the power to change monsters infused with her vast mamono mana into even more lascivious and powerful monsters. Her subordinates are infused with her energy as a reward depending on their feats. If they’re able to obtain an even lewder body due to this mamono mana, then the pleasure they experience when they have sex with their husbands swells up, they become able to give more pleasure to their husbands, and are able to obtain more essence as a result.

For that reason, this mamono mana is a more pleasing reward to them than anything else. Her subordinates eyes are always glowing with an alluring red light, and their bodies and clothes are adorned to with matching red eye jewels, so it’s easy to tell they’re her followers. The red light is released by her mamono mana, and the more of her energy is contained in their bodies, the more alluringly it glows.

It is supposed that aside from the persistent training they receive when being turned into monsters, and the rewards they receive afterwards, the other reason why they adore her so much is that they have so much of her mamono mana in their bodies. It skews their thoughts and ideals to resemble hers.

She herself adores her mother, the mamono lord, and her father, the mamono lord’s husband, and is aggressively expanding the mamono realm in order to realize the ideals of the mamono lord as quickly as possible. As an extremely dangerous being, a high rank monster with a lifespan that can even be said to be infinite, the span of her invasions is extremely long and she’s presently laying low in Lescatie. However, once she starts moving again, she’ll probably aim for a main city of the Order once again. Since it would end up being converted into a mamono realm, we must be vigilant from now on.

Francisca Mistel Lescatie The fourth princess of the Lescatie royal family. She has three prominent elder sisters, all of whom can hear the voices of the gods, can wield great magic and have received divine protection as heroes blessed with talent. But she, from the day she was born, has had no abilities whatsoever. In addition, her body has been sick and weak since the day of her birth, rendering her infertile.

Due to this, Lescatie's royal house can't even use her as a bargaining chip in marriage alliances. As a result, even though she holds the title of "princess", there is no place that needs her. Mostly everyone ignores her very existence. Perhaps due to these sorts of circumstances, she has no self-confidence, and even though she is royalty, she is a girl with a nervous and timid personality.

Because of how little concern they have for her, both the state and her family allow her to do as she pleases to a certain degree. During her childhood, she was a playmate of Wilmarina Noscrim, for a very long period of time. Everyone else acted like she wasn't there or treated her like a "hot potato" to be shoved from one person to another; only these two friends needed her as an individual. She found the one place where she belonged at the side of her two friends and brightness gradually emerged from her gloomy personality.

But one day, she suddenly lost this newly found peace of mind. No longer saying a word to her, Wilmarina began her warrior training, leaving early and returning late, as if she had become another person entirely. At the same time, Wilmarina's family vanished without a trace. And so, she became lonely and unloved once more.

As heroes and nobles, her elder sisters quickly soared to great fame and esteem. She on the other hand, lost what little progress she had made and her health deteriorated to the point where she could not even step outside. She laid upon her bed, her body almost incapable of motion, thinking about how her two friends suddenly vanished, as well as her own issues. Her entire world consisted of the castle around her and nothing else. Even though there are plenty of people in this castle, none of them cared about her. None of them needed her. Why was she even a princess at all?

Wilmarina Noscrim A hero belonging to a holy order of knights in the religious kingdom “Lescatie”. She has extraordinary sword and sorcery skills. Even though she’s barely 17, she’s said to presently be the strongest hero in Lescatie, a religious kingdom that turns out a lot of heroes. A compassionate, kind-hearted young girl with a strong sense of justice, her personality is befitting of a hero. She has truly a heroic presence as she goes about saving and guiding the people, and there are many who revere her. The people of the kingdom believe that she will surely destroy the mamono lord and save the world.

Monsterization Mamono monster girls are made as well as born. Monsterization is the umbrella term for a whole host of different processes by which men, women, corpses, plants, animals, elements, gods and various inanimate objects are all transformed into beautiful and desire-filled monster girls. There are several instances of this.

Paula Tronmail The best shooter among the heroes of Lescatie, belonging to the Order of the Ice Flower, and one of the fearless Three Musketeers of Lescatie. Paula was the daughter of one of the local aristocrats, who originally owned poor lands, and initially was the head of the local detachment of law enforcement. Although she is not good at thinking about difficult things, she is good at controlling her body, and has nimble and strong hands. On the recommendation of Wilmarina, she was recognized as having the quality of a hero and joined the Order of the Ice Flower. Thanks to the salary as a member of the Order of the Ice Flower and the money she received from her work as a hero, she was able to preserve her patrimonial possessions, which had been suffering from poverty until recently. She deeply respects Wilmarina and is sincerely grateful to her for her assistance.

Paula wasn't good at thinking deeply, but every time people said to her, "You seem lucky because you don't seem to have any worries," a pain ran through her chest. Despite the fact that she was the daughter of an aristocrat, Paula did not understand politics at all and had no appropriate education. Paula was convinced of the impossibility of a struggle for power and considered the subordination of the Order of the Ice Flower of the Church to be natural. She also did not understand the natural rivalry between the various noble families and also the king of Lescatie, with whose management in one way or another they were not satisfied.

Kirsch The Order of the Knights of the Ice Flower of Lescatie collected under the banner of the strongest heroine in Lescatie, Wilmarina, not only the brave heroes of the country, but also other prominent people in the state. But where there is light, there is always a shadow. Against the backdrop of the successes of glorious heroes there is always darkness behind the scenes. The head of the family, Noscrim, the father of Wilmarina, known as the "Priest of Noscrim", selected the Heroes for the Order of the Ice Flower, as if creating a semblance of a private army for the Noscrim family, behind which the "priest" stood. This meant that not all the subordinates of Wilmarina were her friends.

Priest Noscrim is one of the people with the highest authority in Lescatie, and he is also one of the members of the Senate. Of course, there are many aristocrats and traders with whom he has close ties. Their children join the Order and form the "Noscrim Faction" among the young knights. And in order to strengthen ties with such influential families, gathering their knights, like the house of Noscrim, parents occasionally gave out a daughter to marry a son from such a family, creating blood ties. At the Order of the Ice Flower, involved in the political struggle for power, "uncomfortable creatures" were sometimes eliminated by the powers that be by any available means. Kirsch is a killer belonging to the Order of the Ice Flower, she is a blade to obliterate such creatures that are inconvenient for Mr. Noscrim, the actual ruler of the Ice Flower knights. She was also the one who watched over his knights

Kirsch was born in a slum located in the lowest, poorest part of the city, and was captured by the house of Noscrim, where she acquired her life's meaning. She was taught all the techniques and methods necessary for the intelligence activity of a cold-blooded soulless soldier. At about the age of twenty she was an excellent fighter, able to take on any work. Following the orders of the Priest Noscrim, Kirsch continues to indifferently fulfill his missions, like a sword, which she so loves. Since she literally "obliterated" the enemy with her sword, the fame of a cruel murderer was fixed on her.

In the Kingdom of Lescatie, heroes are a symbol of special power and, in the final analysis, their surroundings should be relevant and appropriate to the intentions of the family or church, this was the unspoken "Law" of Lescatie. However, although they were heroes, they were still people, and especially among the impressionable young heroes, there were incidents of disobedience to the power of Lescatie. Heroes fell in love with ordinary soldiers or committed contra-indicated actions, also called "mistaken love" because of the difference in statuses. Kirsch's work also included the removal of such subjects and, if instructions came from above, she immediately took up the case.

Eva The boy and the second son of the noble "House of Mystiv", belonging to the Noscrim faction in Lescatie. Like his elder brother, who is an excellent knight of the Order of the Ice Flower and commands a knighthood squad, Eva joined the Order of the Ice Flower at the insistence of his father, although his main motive was a strong sense of patriotism and a desire to "help his country". Since he was born a sickly child, he could not become a knight and fight on the front, using a sword or spear, but Eva was blessed with magical skill and with his usual zeal, he read many books about tactics. Using advanced magical skills to support others, he became known as a tactical officer, applying innovative strategies.

"Although I can not become a knight like my brother, I want to help everyone in a different way."

Eva's tactics are a great boost for a group of Knights of the Order of the Ice Flower, fighting together. But unlike other knights fighting on the front line, Eva is very hard to notice and understand, the feelings that are contained in his chest are not always acceptable to all people. Even though he is worthy of it, others are jealous of the fact that he joined the Order of the Ice Flower, because he can not even swing his sword properly, and constantly contrast him with his older brother, who is still active and follows the path of the "true royal knight". If Eva met one of the other knights in the city, they would have laughed at his feminine appearance and would have jeered, saying that he is a "coward who does not get out of parental care". In training with other knights of the Order, if he commanded the soldiers, they could refuse this, for they do not want to listen to instructions from a coward who can not hold a sword. Although the knights-members of the Holy Ice Flower, who knew Eva, will say: "I do not care". Eva himself was not manly, or so selfish, to try to repay evil, he did not feel any hatred for them.

Olivie Amaltia In peacetime, Olivie, the heroine with a special charm, is the leader of the squad of the "Three Musketeers of Lescatie". Olivie grew up, being the daughter of one of the most famous noble families of Lescatie, the noble "house of Amaltia". Thanks to the personalities of her ancestors and a good pedigree, she was born with the great abilities of a hero and possessed sufficient qualities to compete with Wilmarina at one time for the right to be the symbol of Lescatie and lead many people and heroes. The reason Olivie served Wilmarina was because of the strong protectorate of Wilmarina's father. Olivie's father was known as an ambitious nobleman who participated in the confrontation between the factions of the aristocrats of the kingdom, who were in a state similar to a cold war with each other. However, he joined to the faction of the Noscrim family, observing how even the King of Lescatie, “Castor Bistoa Lescatie,” was crushed by Priest Noscrim, the strongest of the priests who largely dominated the country. In other words, by enrolling her daughter in the ranks of the Order of the Knights of the Ice Flower, her father showed his allegiance to the Noscrim family. Since she was from one of the most noble families of Lescatie, in Olivie's life and after becoming a hero, and before that, everything was subject to the intrigues and decisions of her father.

On that day, she wanted to give up the blessing as a hero, but sadness hit her heart. She wanted to escape with a childhood friend, a "servant" who, as she believed, swore to love her, as she did him. Only once in her life, when the feeling flared in the hearts of the two people, she decided to resist the rules of Lescatie, the day they vowed to abandon everything and run away somewhere. However, those who came to her place of meeting were not her beloved, but the servants directed by the father. The beloved, who she thought was affectionate with her, because they loved each other faithfully, was with her until the last moment only because she was the daughter of the Amaltia family, and immediately after they exchanged vows, told everything to Olivie's father. The servant whom Olivie loved, received from his owner an exceptionally large sum of money, which he could not have received even if he worked many years of service, and disappeared from their life. After she became a hero, the girl began to work actively, trying to forget about the broken heart left in her chest. Olivie understood the fragility of the love of men and women in Lescatie, especially for the "Heroes": no matter how strong they are in battle, one must accept the reality that they are all subordinated to the "duty of Lescatie". Because Olivie accepted herself as a hero, she had to give up everything.

Vermut Rosnair To give his blade to the lord is the highest honor for a knight. These words were passed down as a family motto since Vermut was a child, this was the basis of her philosophy, which was "ideal." Her father, once the head of the Holy Knights, preached to his daughter the way of the knight even after retiring from military service, and taught Vermut and her brothers the art of the sword. For Vermut her father was the knight's ideal, and her brothers, who joined the Order in the future, were also excellent examples for imitation. Someday, like her father and older brothers, she wanted to devote her sword to her master, to become a proud knight and protect the country. Such desires were natural for her, given the environment she grew up in.

However, when Vermut joined the Holy Knights at the age of sixteen, she expected a completely different attitude from the other members. Conversations with men from the aristocratic society of Lescatie, visiting public gatherings for influential people from other countries, wearing unfamiliar dresses every day as decorations. No matter how good her swordplay was, the people around her did not want to see her as "one of the knights," whom she idealized, but as a desired "daughter of a Magister" and gradually alienated her from the way of the sword. Instead of looking for a master to serve, Vermut missed every day when she could not wave with a sword. Such a girl was prompted to the path of the knight by Priest Noscrim, who is the head of his family, who had some influence at that time in Lescatie. The priest learned about the qualities of a hero that she possessed, met with Vermut, and welcomed her as one of the Knights of the Ice Flower, appointing her the knight-bodyguard of Wilmarina Noscrim. Although Vermut's father expressed negative feelings towards the Priest Noscrim, who at that time could disregard even the king, for Vermut, who for the first time received a proper assessment of her abilities as a knight, it was like salvation. Wilmarina, who possesses exceptional fencing skills combined with a magical talent, and a noble spirit, to be called the strongest hero of Lescatie, was a "master deserving of devoting her sword", which Vermut sought. To be happy with giving her blade to the ideal master, Mrs. Wilmarina, who behaves herself as a knight, to express her gratitude and to be a knight worthy of service to her, Vermut devoted herself entirely to her duties. But no matter how much effort Vermut put in or how much she fought for her, the smile of Wilmarina, her favorite master, to whom she dedicated her sword, was always sad.
