She is also greatly devoted to Nanael, whom she views as a great messenger from the Heavens.

Heretics were planning to summon a demon.

Having heard that, Melpha left for their base of operations, all on her own. With the Inquisitors, the Church's main combat force, absent, she was the only one left capable of stopping the heretics from realizing. their scheme. Either way, her mind had been set and she was going to follow through. The memories of the event leading up to this point having returned to her, she slowly opened her eyes.

Would the tentacles simply devour her.. or would the beast attempt to place an egg within her, turning her into some sort of surrogate mother to its rebirth...?

The thought of her inevitable fate brought a mute scream to her lips. There would be no rescue. How long would she even last...?

Melpha shut her eyes once more, hoping to re-experience that same blissful ignorance from before, hoping she could escape the all-consuming despair that threatened to take her.
