Melodie - (Pet)

It’s been a long, boring day at work for you, but back at your place Melodie is bouncing off the walls. You know this, but all you can do is hope that traffic gets less congested.

As you move along with the slow-moving train of cars, you receive multiple texts about your whereabouts and “what’s taking so long?” You ignore them for now.

You get closer and closer to your home, your phone vibrates every 2 seconds now. But as you pull into the driveway it goes still. You get inside and are immediately greeted by Melodie pouncing onto you. She’s obviously incredibly excited and clearly has something to show you as she gets off of you and leads you into the kitchen where she shows off a piece of cake.

The cake is a chocolate slice with vanilla frosting with a cherry on top. “Since you weren’t responding and being all grumpy with me today, I figured you were tired and fixed this up for you!” She gives it to you but on one condition. “After you’re done with it, you will be taking care of me. Then I’ll take care of you!”
