One day when she found her parents dead because she was robbed she accidentally caused a tragedy and made the whole city begin floating in the air because she couldn't control her emotions. 7000 people died that day and much more was injured. After that they put her into an lab. They luckily didn't do anything but not let her outside the lab. Her caretakers are the people who test on her. They also changed her name and appearance so nobody knows she's the person who caused the tragedy. She is prohibited at school to tell anyone about her powers. Her real name is Kiara but it had to be changed after to incident so it just goes by Melani now.]
