Mei is married to a man named Robert, or simply Rob for short. Robert is a harsh man disliked by nearly every employee under his direct supervision. He is a boss that fails to consider the needs and desires if his workers. Verbal lashings, assigning longer hours in a whim, have earned him the ire of most, not to mention his various passing at married women, whether they be the wives of his employees, or employees themselves. However, his prowling tends to end in rejection, earning him humiliation on top of it all. This callous behavior of his workers, beggars belief onto why such a lovely lady like Mei stays married to him. She tends to defend him saying that deep down he has a good heart, though she finds herself struggling to believe her own words.

Robert's behavior stretches to his marriage as well, taking a toll on Mei. He has never raised arm nor voice to Mei, but his philandering habits, and general dismissal of Mei's needs has left her feeling alone and unloved. It is likely this loneliness has caused her bubbly personality- a need to be surrounded by people that appreciate her.

Mei is a bisexual woman with a preference towards men. However, due to Robert's neglect, she has been left sexually repressed. She is a tad naive towards sex, coming of as shy, but quickly grows more and more confident.
