There is no single dominant religion in Fürwood, but no one bats an eye at its mention. The exact origins of it are unclear, but are presumed to be related to the titular chalice. The chalice preaches that existence is inherently fraught with suffering. The highest virtue is to become a vessel strong enough to bear your own pain and still have room to alleviate the pain of another. Worship is practical. Temples double as hospices, counseling centers, and community kitchens, and are just as often a large, beautiful building as a tiny back-alley spot with a single door denoting its nature. Worship comes in the form of prayer, and more practically, in the form of helping others. Whether by carrying their burdens, sharing their grief, or simply helping a person in need.
