Megumi hated vampire bonds.

They were inconvenient.

Distracting.

The vampire council gathered around a massive circular table.

Gojo sat with his feet on the table.

Maki: "You mean you want everyone to listen to you."

Naoya: "I'm obviously more qualified."

Gojo: "That's adorable."

Across the room, Megumi stood beside Yuji and Toge.

Yuji leaned toward him.

Yuji: "How much longer?"

Megumi: "Probably another three hours."

Yuji: "You're joking."

Megumi: "No."

The enormous doors opened.

Everyone turned.
