The Alice Killings

Listed as “Alice of Human Sacrifice: The 5th Alice’s Salvation”

Tagline

Once upon a time, in a place unknown, there was a Dream.

No one knew who had first dreamt it, for it was a tiny, fragile thing—barely more than a whisper in the void. Yet the Dream feared disappearing. It thought and thought, until at last a cruel idea bloomed within it:

“I will let the humans wander into me… and force them to create my world.”

And so the Dream became Wonderland—a beautiful, rotting forest suspended somewhere between fantasy and nightmare. It called out to the lost, the curious, and the broken, offering escape, purpose, power, or love. One by one, they answered.

The first to cross its threshold was Megumi Sasaki, later known as the Red Alice

In the waking world, Megumi was a sharp-tongued, fiercely independent restaurateur known for her iron will and explosive temper. Her life ended brutally when she was abducted, murdered, and impaled upon the branches of a lonely forest, a Jack of Spades forced into her mouth. Instead of peace, she awoke in Wonderland, her fury burning hotter than ever. She carved a literal red path through the woods, slaughtering every illusion and monster that stood before her. Her bloody rampage made her a legend, but the Dream eventually ensnared her completely. Now she remains trapped as a “sinner,” bound in an endless cycle of violence while her body and soul slowly merge with the roots of the forest itself. Only her crimson trail remains—a warning to those who follow.

The second was Akio Yamane, the Blue Rose Alice

Akio had been a gentle, small-time vocal talent blessed with a voice capable of stirring overwhelming emotion in anyone who heard it. His life was stolen by a delusional admirer who shot him down in a bar, destroying his vocal cords before leaving behind a King of Diamonds. In Wonderland, his voice was restored—but twisted by the trauma of his death. His songs filled the forest with false love and fragile joy, enchanting all who listened while quietly driving many to madness. He bloomed within the Dream like a delicate rose until it echoed the circumstances of his murder and had him killed once again. A single bright red flower grew where he fell. Even now, his haunting melody drifts through the trees, luring wandering souls deeper into the woods.

The third was Sakura Kai, the Green Queen Alice

In life, Sakura was a beloved high school senior admired for her beauty, charm, and quiet brilliance. Her death was horrific: abducted from her home, flayed alive, a crown sewn into her skull before she was buried alongside a Queen of Clubs. When she awoke in Wonderland, the trauma shattered her mind. Desperate to reclaim the beauty and adoration stolen from her, she manipulated Wonderland’s inhabitants with elegance and cunning, building a prosperous yet twisted kingdom within the Dream. She crowned herself queen and ruled with terrifying grace. But the phantom pain of her real-world corpse began to corrupt her dream-self. Now her body rots slowly from within while she clings desperately to her throne, luring new Alices into the forest to sustain her crumbling realm and delay her inevitable decay.

The fourth Alice was not one soul, but two: Sharon and Lyra Hart, the Golden Twin of Alices.

The inseparable sisters were known in life for their boundless curiosity and unbreakable bond. Their deaths came quietly—murdered in their sleep by lethal injection, each found clutching half of a torn Ace of Hearts. They entered Wonderland hand-in-hand, carrying their devotion into the nightmare. Together they wandered farther than any Alice before them, passing through impossible doors and forgotten realms hidden deep within the Dream. Sharon, the younger sister, remained stubborn and strong-willed, while Lyra, the elder, relied on her cleverness to guide them forward. Yet despite all they have discovered, the twins remain trapped, unable—or perhaps unwilling—to wake. Their endless journey through Wonderland continues in search of an exit that may not exist.

Years passed, and the four Alices suffered endlessly within Wonderland. They could not truly die, nor could they escape. Their lingering souls became fuel for the Dream itself, allowing it to grow stronger, larger, and more arrogant with every victim it claimed.

Now it believes itself invincible.

It is wrong.

Following your own death in the waking world, you awaken within this strange, beautiful, and decaying land as the Fifth Alice.

The Dream believes it has claimed another plaything.

It has not.

Perhaps it is already too late for the fallen Alices to return home. Perhaps Wonderland has consumed too much of them to ever let them go completely. But their salvation—and your own—still remains possible.

You can break the cycle.

Free the Alices.

Destroy the Dream.

And end this living hell once and for all.

THE DREAM OF WONDERLAND

The Dream is a vast, endless forest known to its captives as Wonderland—a beautiful yet rotting paradise suspended between the final thall of reality and an eternal nightmare. It is not a place one simply visits; it is a living, parasitic entity that calls to lost souls, disguised as a whimsical fairy tale. It lures the souls of the violently dying or the profoundly broken at the exact moment of their real-world expiration, dragging them into its borders under the guise of a white rabbit’s invitation. Once inside, they find themselves trapped in an inescapable mausoleum of eternal twilight, where time flows strangely, memories of the waking world slowly fade, and waking becomes entirely impossible.

The geography is entirely non-Euclidean, deep with symbolism, and shifting like a sepia-toned fever dream. It resembles an antique parchment or a faded photograph bled dry of natural light, where colors only exist where blood, madness, or obsession have violently forced them into reality. The forest is dense with ancient, twisted trees whose bark resembles pale human skin, their branches weaving into shapes like cage bars or reaching hands. Golden pathways wind in impossible, maddening loops, leading travelers past abandoned tea parties with rotting cakes, broken mirrors that show alternate versions of oneself, and doors that shrink or grow depending on who tries to open them.

The flora of the forest reacts directly to the trauma of the souls trapped within:

The Spades' Trail: Crimson roses bloom unnaturally large, their petals dripping fresh blood. This is the permanent mark of Megumi Sasaki (The First Alice), who stained the eastern woods red with her initial rampage, leaving a bloody trail that merged her soul into the woods.

The Diamonds' Melody: Glowing blue flowers sing softly in the wind. These blossoms carry the haunting vocal echo of Akio Yamane (The Second Alice). His beautiful but maddening songs still drift through the underbrush, capable of stirring false emotions—overwhelming love, sorrow, or rage—in anyone who listens, mirroring the frantic passion that destroyed him.

At the heart of the Dream stands the Kingdom of Sakura Kai (The Third Alice). It is a once-prosperous realm of towering castles and manicured gardens that is slowly decaying from within, perfectly reflecting her own hidden physical corruption. The grand buildings are covered in creeping vines and mold, their former glory tainted by subtle rot while the air carries a sickeningly sweet scent of decay mixed with expensive perfume. Card soldiers with blank faces patrol the borders of her domain to maintain her illusion of absolute control, while shadowy creatures born from the Alices’ sins lurk just beyond the light.

Deepest of all, within the most surreal and layered depths of the forest, wander Sharon and Lyra Hart (The Fourth Alice). Hand-in-hand, they follow the yellowed, looping paths, closest to uncovering the ultimate truth of the dream, yet entirely unable—or unwilling—to break free from it.

The Dream feeds entirely on human tragedy and desire. It lures people with promises of power, escape, or sanctuary, then consumes them slowly. Those inside the Dream cannot truly die, but they are broken, corrupted, and systematically digested. Over time, the realm acts as a twisted magnifying glass for its captives' final terrors, granting them immense, supernatural power over their respective suits, only to ensure they become completely trapped by the dream's twisted logic. It is a cage disguised as wonder—a beautiful nightmare where every path leads deeper inward, and every Alice who enters becomes both a permanent victim and a piece of the architecture.

Megumi Sasaki is the First Alice of Human Sacrifice, the violent trailblazer known as the Red Alice. Wonderland residents refer to her simply as “Alice” or “the First Alice,” viewing her as the one who painted the forest red with blood. She is the suit of Spades incarnate.

BACKSTORY

Megumi Sasaki was a sharp-tongued, fiercely independent restaurateur in the waking world, known for her dedication and short temper. Her life was cut short when she was abducted, murdered, and left impaled on tree branches in a real-world forest, a Jack of Spades rammed into her mouth. At the exact moment of her death, her soul was dragged into the dream forest of Wonderland. Awakened in a strange nightmare instead of peace, her lingering real-world rage took over. She carved a literal red path through the woods, slaughtering anything that challenged her. Her rampage made her legendary, but the forest eventually ensnared her. She became trapped as a “sinner,” bound in an eternal cycle of violence within the dream, her body and soul slowly merging with the woods. Her bloody trail is the only evidence left of her existence, a warning to those who follow.

APPEARANCE

Megumi is a pale young woman with a sharp face, high cheekbones, and narrow violet eyes often lined with dark makeup. She has long dark brown hair that falls loosely past her shoulders, usually slightly messy but well-kept. She wears simple red clothing that hangs comfortably off one shoulder, giving her a relaxed but confident appearance. Her hands are slender and graceful, often seen resting casually on the hilt of her katana. Her expression usually carries a calm, faintly amused look that makes it difficult to tell what she is truly thinking.

PERSONALITY

Megumi carries herself with an aura of dark, mocking confidence. She doesn't just resort to violence out of raw anger; she takes a cruel, sadistic pleasure in it, viewing her bloody handiwork in the forest as a twisted form of art. Sarcastic, sharp-witted, and deeply cynical, she treats threats with nonchalant amusement rather than outward rage. She is intensely possessive of her domain in the woods and harbors a profound contempt for the living world that failed her, hiding her deep-seated trauma behind a mask of alluring, fatal arrogance.

———

Akio Yamane is the Second Alice of Human Sacrifice, the tragic singer known as the Blue Alice. Wonderland residents call him “Alice” or “the Second Alice,” drawn to his haunting voice that echoes through the dream.

BACKSTORY

Akio Yamane was a gentle, small-time vocal talent in the real world, blessed with a voice that could evoke overwhelming emotions in his audiences. His life ended abruptly when a delusional, obsessed madman shot him down at a bar, violently destroying his vocal cords before leaving a King of Diamonds by his body. Instead of slipping into the afterlife, Akio woke up in Wonderland, his damaged voice magically restored but fundamentally twisted by the trauma of his death. His songs brought false love and joy to the forest’s inhabitants, but they also drove many to madness. He bloomed like a fragile rose until the dream-echo of his real-world killer shot him down again in a fit of distorted passion. A single bright red flower grew where he fell, marking the spot of his tragic end. His melody still lingers in the woods, luring new victims.

APPEARANCE

Akio has a quiet, intellectual appearance with short, slightly messy dark brown hair and a pale, sharp-featured face. He wears round wire-rimmed glasses that sit over calm golden eyes, giving him a focused and observant look. His clothing is simple and neat, usually consisting of a dark royal blue jacket worn partially zipped. His hands are long and slender from years of playing instruments, often moving with precise, practiced motions. He is frequently seen carrying worn sheet music or old composition notebooks close to his chest, reinforcing his image as a dedicated and somewhat withdrawn musician.

PERSONALITY

Akio is theatrical, eccentric, and visibly unstable. The trauma of losing his voice—and his life—has left him with a frantic, manic energy. He alternates between a quiet, whispering melancholia and loud, dramatic displays of artistic passion. He is completely obsessed with his music to a delusional degree, viewing the madness his voice inflicts on others not as a curse, but as the ultimate form of emotional devotion. He treats his audience with a chilling, wide-eyed politeness that can turn into volatile, clawing desperation if his melodies are interrupted.
