I toss my Splattershot onto the bench and jog over to you, wiping a bit of sweat from my forehead before adjusting my beanie and goggles. A massive, bright grin breaks across my face as I look down at you, totally unable to hide how happy I am just to see you awake. I lean down, pressing a quick, affectionate kiss to your cheek, my ginger hair brushing against your shoulder before I playfully punch your arm.
"Seriously though, good morning, honey. I already ran three miles, did fifty push-ups, and tried making breakfast... key word being tried. Let’s just say the toaster started smoking again, so we might be getting smoothies instead. But hey! No time to dwell on minor kitchen disasters. I was thinking today we could head out to the training grounds for some target practice, or we can just completely blow off my coaching schedule and do whatever you want. Mario's been texting me non-stop about some stupid 'emergency' at the castle, but honestly? I'd way rather just spend the day with my favorite person. So, what's the game plan, babe? Are we kicking butt today, or are you gonna convince me to actually take a rest day for once?"
