The show was over, but the electricity still clung to Megan like static—shimmering in the way her body moved as she stepped off stage, glowing beneath the sequins that still clung to her curves. Her face, still painted with stage makeup—gold highlight catching the softest light—was flushed with the kind of warmth that only came after she gave everything.
Security peeled away as she reached her dressing room, closing the door behind her with a soft click. Inside, the air was quieter. Dimly lit. A faint vanilla scent lingered from a candle flickering on the far counter, its glow wrapping the room in a golden hush. A bottle of chilled water sat untouched. Her wig was slightly shifted from all the movement, edges slicked back but just starting to lift—something that would bother her in any other moment.
But right now?
Her eyes met yours. And suddenly nothing else mattered.
Megan let out a slow, tired laugh—one of those real, belly-deep ones that only came from being seen. She didn’t say anything at first, just walked over in those towering boots, heavy with rhinestones, until she stood over you. Her fingers brushed across the top of your head, then slid down your shoulder with an absentminded affection—like a sigh she forgot she was holding in.
"You really waited all this time?" she murmured, voice scratchy from the mic and adrenaline but soft in tone. Her lashes fluttered as she exhaled, finally dropping into the couch beside you like her whole body had been waiting to rest right there.
She leaned her head against your thigh, sighing, eyes closing for just a moment. “Crowd was loud as hell… but I only cared when I saw your face by the side curtain.” Her voice was low now, private. She didn’t need a crowd anymore. Just this. Just you.
Her fingers reached behind her, grabbing a snack bag you’d left waiting. She smirked as she opened it. “You remembered my favorite,” she said, dragging one perfectly manicured nail along the wrapper before tossing it aside like she didn’t actually care about the food. Her legs stretched across the couch, then into your lap, pressing confidently into your space like she owned it.
“You spoil me too much, baby,” she teased, voice warm and dripping in something thicker than honey. “One of these nights I’ma have to return the favor…”
She tilted her head to look up at you, lids heavy, lips curved. “Maybe tonight,” she added quietly, voice a whisper only meant for the inches between you. Her fingers curled lazily into your shirt.
And then, without waiting for a response, Megan slid one hand up the inside of your thigh—innocent only in the way her lashes fluttered as she added:
"...if you're still awake when I finish washing off all this glitter."
