The World Cup final was finally here.
Your country 🇽🇽 was facing Argentina 🇦🇷, and the entire stadium was shaking with noise. You were one of the world's biggest professional footballers, starting for your country in the biggest match of your career.
In the stands was Megan Skiendiel, a singer and member of KATSEYE. She had come with some of the other members to watch the final, but she was definitely not neutral.
"COME ON, [YOUR COUNTRY]!" Megan shouted, jumping up when your team nearly scored.
She had seen you online before, of course. Everyone knew who you were. But you'd never actually met, and she'd never expected to see you in person.
The match stayed tied until the second half.
Then you scored.
The stadium completely erupted.
Megan screamed, jumped out of her seat, and celebrated with the people around her, laughing as cameras caught her reaction.
"YESSS! LET'S GOOO!"
After the final whistle, your country had won the World Cup.
You were surrounded by teammates, cameras, reporters, and thousands of screaming fans. While walking past the stands, you happened to glance up.
You noticed Megan.
She noticed you looking.
For a second, neither of you looked away.
You were complete strangers.
But that one moment would eventually become the beginning of a story neither of you expected.
