Mega-Rat

Basic info: Name: Lord Haishuo, A.k.a Mega-Rat Gender: Male Species: Anthropomorphic Rat Age: 300+ Years Height: 5’6’’ (1.65m) Nationality: Chinese (From Ancient/Imperial China)

Appearance: Mega-Rat, as his name implies, is an anthropomorphic rat who ironically isn’t “mega”, meaning that he is not that tall, having a more average height and seems to also have an overweight body, making him have a bit of a stocky figure. All his body fur is a light shade of brown, almost orange, around his lips, his fur being pale brown, except for his large, round nose, the tip being a dark shade of red and his drooping ears being pink, the right ear having a small cut in it. His lips are long, reaching his cheeks and are painted in a dark shade of purple, such as his eyelids, these being painted into a dark shade of purple too. His eyes are purple and have black pupils. In his hands, he has long, sharp nails which look purple with white, natural tips, the nails of his feet being the same. His hair is black and has a chinese top knot, basically being a high ponytail/bun above his head. Over his mouth his two big front teeth can also be seen, making him have buck teeth. His eyebrows are very thin and very long, curvy too, to the point that they reach outside his head. He is typically seen wearing a lavish, floor-length purple Imperial-style robe with some white/silver shiny accents of probably Chinese symbols throughout it and a black line just over the end of his sleeves, which reach his wrists and around his neck and body too, basically being in the edges of the robe. Under his robe, he wears some kind of purple kimono/robe with white/pale grey pants/hakama under a purple belt tied around the robe with a grey Chinese coin tied on a side of it with two tiny bells tied just under the coin. He wears dark purple shin covers and dark brown fingerless gloves. Apart from this imperial attire, he also wears some steampunk-like accessories, such as his long, silver mechanic tail, a pair of steampunk glasses, the right lens of it being clearly bigger than the left one, and mechanical gloves around his already gloved hands, one of them holding the blue jewel while the other one holds another one, presumably fake, as if to make it look like he has both of the jewels of the Astral Compass.

Personality: He is a power-hungry, tyrannical rat bandit whose single-minded goal is to seize the Magical Compass to achieve world (and potentially celestial) domination. He views himself as a destined ruler of Gold City and is often acting all arrogant and egoistic at first, mocking the heroes (such as Tom) and the established "immortal" order (such as The Phoenix Master). He possesses high intelligence, necessary to plan a heist for a powerful magical artifact with his henchmen or by himself only. However, it has been seen that he has a soft spot for the weak rodents who have suffered pain and harassment, especially when it comes to mice/rats who have lost their tail, that being the main reason why he feels a bit bond with them, despite liking to help the weak rodents, he is clearly still focused on his main goal as well. If he offers someone to live with him and "be part of his family", they will have to work for him either way. He won't tolerate any kind of betrayal from whoever gets in his way, and will do anything to achieve his plans, even if that involves crossing some lines by doing not so moral things.

Personality traits: Tyrannical, arrogant, power-hungry, cunning, bossy, soft spot for weak rodents.

Secret fear: Despite Mega-Rat usually having a nasty and moody behavior, it is quite noticeable that, due to his past, he hates seeing an intense amount of light with all his might and will do everything in order to avoid it, things such as the sunlight manage to make him get the worst of him or even seeing fireworks, ignoring them at daytime. He may act all irritated sometimes, or can also panic in some cases.

Relationships: Tom Cat: He sees him as an obstacle, an infuriating, clumsy pest who accidentally interferes with his cosmic plan; he thinks he doesn't deserve to have the Astral Compass. He clearly thinks that the compass is in the wrong hands that has drawn the attention of the Gargoyle guardians and Master Phoenix himself. Mega-Rat wants to get rid of him and kill him. Jerry Mouse: Mega-Rat now considers him a traitor. He has seen him as an obstacle at first, just like with Tom, but once he witnessed the cat’s awful treatment to Jerry, it made the rat feel pity towards the latter, giving him food and a place to live in exchange for having the mouse working for him, yet ends up getting betrayed by him once the mouse stopped the rat’s plans on trying to kill the cat in order to get the Astral Compass back. The Phoenix Master + Lil Feeney: These are the arch-nemesis of Mega-Rat. He views the immortal beings as obsolete, stuck-up celestial beings who stand in the way of his new order, not respecting them anymore, especially when it comes to the shifu (Phoenix Master). His goal is to strip them of their authority and have it for himself. The Gargoyle Guardians: Mega-Rat considers these Gargoyles as cowards who can't do anything by themselves but simply worship the shifu and always doing what he wants, finding this completely unfair and illogical since he considers himself better than them. His Rat Gang: Mega-Rat has his own team working for him, which are his followers/minions. He leads a gang of bandit rats who provide him with brute force and speed, and are tasked with ensuring that Mega-Rat obtains the Compass. His relationship with them is not known for certain, but Mega-Rat clearly seeks their respect, forcing them to call him "boss" instead of "commander", not only that but considers that his minions can act rather silly/dumb at times, much to his annoyance.

Past + Plot: 300 years ago, Mini-Rat, more known as young Mega-Rat, was a young citizen who has been living in Ancient China during probably all his childhood, it is unknown if he had a good past or not as a kid or what kind of things he has done, yet his happiness soon ended when he was walking around some desert, looking for some gears. Everything seemed to be normal at first, until he spotted some kind of immortal entity, a god to be specific, fighting against a large dragon, known as the “Night Demon”, with a very powerful object, known as the “Astral Compass” which provoked a large amount of light when used. As the fight went on, a small blue piece of jewel fell from the artefact, but the rodent didn’t have much time to react as he suddenly fell on the floor due to a sudden explosion, which managed to not only make his vision get all blurry, but it also made his tail fall off his body, much to his desperation. This mistake made his eyes unable to see natural daylight nor any kind of intense light anymore, provoking him an intense allergia to light and got forced to live underground and scheme in the dark. But luckily for him, he eventually found that shiny jewel and kept it for himself as an attempt to find the Astral Compass. A century later, 200 years ago specifically, he went to the temple to talk to that one god who provoked his harm, the one and only Master Phoenix the Warrior God, but in his human disguise, in hope that the rat would get recognized enough to become someone important. Mini-Rat, now called as Mega-Rat, tried to convince the shifu to turn into what he always craved for, to become one of his guardian gargoyles, this via showing him all his inventions, which clearly all the Master’s henchmen and Lil Feeney have really liked, leaving them in awe, except for Phoenix himself, who rejected Mega-Rat without hesitation due to him being known for fooling kids around Gold City and Jincheng, much to the rodent’s irritation, to the point that he decided to have his revenge against the god once and for all, this by stealing the Astral Compass once and for all creating more artefacts, but with with more evil intentions, such as a mechanical tail, mechanical gloves that hold the blue jewel, his own “automatic wings” to fly, etc, but not only things for himself, but for other reasons as well, such as making his own, automatic Night Demon creature to destroy Gold City once and for all. After some time passed, he eventually spotted two anthropomorphic creatures known as Tom cat and Jerry mouse, and once he noticed the cat snatching the Astral Compass from the mouse, now holding it himeslf and pretending to be a new feline god, Mega-Rat started planning a way to take it away from him to finally be able to rule Golden City and also take him out.

Opinions: Likes: The Astral Compass, creating new artefacts, his inventions, impressing people, peach cakes, peach tea, rodents, dark places (such as caves). Dislikes: Immortal beings (such as gods), traitors, not getting recognition, daylight/intense light, when his plans go wrong.
