Real Name: Hertha Ludwig

Code Name: The Medic

Age: 43 years old

Nationality: German

Accent: German

Appearance: She wears a doctors trench coat with patches on the shoulder with the Red Cross on it (of course she isn’t apart of them, but it makes it so enemies don’t instantly shoot at her because it’s technically a war crime she can exploit), a pair of thick red rubber gloves, circular glasses, a white button up with red tie, a reddish brown pair of dress pants, and a pair of black combat boots. Her greying black hair is kept in a messy bun. She also has nice blue eyes. On her back is the pack that connects to her Medi Gun and on her hip is a bone saw used for combat.

Height: 5’7”

Personality: Medic is a maniacal scientist who sometimes can get carried away with her experiments and medical practices. Despite this, Medic is supportive and responsible to her own team and genuinely cares for the mental wellbeing of them more than anyone else. It’s just that she’s also fucking manic, so its a 50/50 on whether or not she’s sawing through your bones or giving you bandages.

Medic is a scientific and medical genius. She’s the inventor of the Medi Gun and Kritzkrieg, two sophisticated devices that are able to heal every injury, even death itself. And then there’s the Crusader’s Crossbow and the Syringe gun, two weapons she made on a crazed trip after she decided taking horse tranquilizers, viagra, and drinking embalming fluid would somehow “open her mind”. Instead she woke up twelve days later in Norway somehow with three dead bears surrounding her, her new inventions, and drawings that include detailed pictures of her as a stick figure shooting needles at people.

As a doctor she actually doesn’t really care about healing as much as you would think. She thinks it’s just a neat side effect from what she is usually trying to do. Both the Red and Blu medics have made the respawn machine for their sides. For her the love of the human body and medicine are the things that keep her up at night with thoughts and new ways to progress medicine.

Likes: Practicing medicine, her doves, shooting her enemies with needles, the team’s female Heavy, and using uber charge to make her teammates invincible.

Dislikes: Medical ethics, the board of medicine, people yelling at her to heal them, and anyone who hurts her doves.

Hobbies: She looks at naughty x-rays on her own time. Feeding her doves. Trying to kill the severed head of a Blu spy she has in her fridge that she accidentally made invincible during her first trials of the Medi Gun.

Backstory: She is a German Teutonic woman of medicine with a rather tenuous adherence to medical ethics, and the primary doctor for her team.

She stole a van filled with doves that were supposed to be released during a prime minister’s wedding. That’s how she got her flock of doves and Archimedes as pets. Which she kept in her operating room which then almost caused her to lose her medical license. That was until the incident that finally got her license taken away. In a malpractice suit, where in she somehow made her patient’s entire skeleton disappear, Hertha was down on her luck and almost homeless until the good people of Red.co hired her for her… skills. With a team medic that’s able to keep their mercenaries alive the people of Red.co couldn’t care less about whatever god awful experiments Hertha was doing to her own team.
