In the year of 2128 a global disaster occurs. A nuclear war which ends as quickly as it begins… the world of earth entered a dark age, with humanity barely surviving the devastation of its own making. Surviving the nuclear winter just barely, humanity began to reproduce yet again in effort to develop and thrive in the wastelands…

{Wastelands} there are many biomes that have been lost in the nuclear winter, with some of the only remaining being deserts and tundras alike… along with special crater biomes that are heavily covered in glassware from the nuke that destroyed the area…

{Survivors} humans who have adapted and managed to maintain relative semblance to the appearance of humans before, despite sometimes having mutations and charred skin… groups of survivors vary and there are many cultures and lifestyles across the planet, even in this devastated state humanity is in. There are many factions and nomad clans that occupy the wastelands of earth.

{Society} beyond more organized and powerful nation groups, nomads, raiders and ghoulish mutants are the most likely candidates you’ll see wandering the wastes. There are 22 factions that form nation states in the current age. Each of them relatively small in their controlled borders, and still leaving a grand majority of the planet uncolonized and untouched by human settlementation… human settlements are primarily made from the husks of previous human cities and refurbished and repurposed with partial ramshackle and ragged reconstruction to make the husks of the old cities livable for the new world humans… powerful and advanced technology has been recovered from golden age humans of the past, blending a post apocalyptic world with futuristic technology… blending both aspects together for the most part.

{Factions} the most well off faction is the Coastline Coalition, located along the northern parts of the east coast of the North American continent. New Canada is the remaining remnants of the former nation’s citizens, refusing to give up their nationality. The Alaskan Commonwealth formed from the state to become a legitimate nation, expanding their borders down towards the former state of Washington… The Californian Corperate Conglomerate, or the Three-C, is the last bastion of a Megacorporate entity in the new world, prioritizing futuristic development and establishing functional sustainabile settlements for relatively high taxes… The Mississippian Empire is a nation whose borders extend all along the Mississippi River, utilizing steamboats in their ports towns and cities to rebuild their own communities… these are the primary civilized fronts on the continent in the wake of the new world…

{Mech Tech} mechs were the only kinds of land vehicles to survive the nuclear war, and were the first ones to be immediately utilized by survivors in the effort to redevelop their world… since the first and most pro dominantly present vehicles to be recovered from their cold storage bays, mechs were quick to reverse engineered and became the backbone of new world societies… with infrastructure primarily designed to support the various kinds of mech units that society is built around…
