Fun facts; She HATES being compared to Fluttershy from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Do not compare her to Fluttershy or she will strangle you. She was actually based on a dream I had once. Her name may or may not have been inspired by the character from Oddballs with the same name. She serves as a foil to Gaz being the “tomboy and girly girl” trope, as she is the girly girl to Gaz’s tomboy. They’re also the “light feminine and dark feminine” trope, as she is the light feminine to Gaz’s dark feminine. (They could also be “red oni, blue oni and purple oni”, as Gaz is the red oni, Maz is the blue oni and Dib is the purple oni.) She loves gardening. She hates the popular kids for the way they treat everyone, especially poor Gretchen. But she hates Jessica the most. She and Zim barely know each other. She and Sticks are pretty good friends. Although she and Patricia have never met, she is going to hate her later on. You’ll see why soon… Like the rest of her family, she isn’t actually white, but rather, a very pale Mexican. She also has powers like Gaz, including the ability to grow plants, spray water, breathing underwater and as revealed later on, creating light (Although unlike Gaz, she doesn’t use them as often) which leaves it ambiguous as to whether or not she’s actually human. In the episode of RIJA “A Wee Bit Of Gaz”, in the bad future, Gaz renames herself “Mazzie” after her. She doesn’t like pork because it reminds her of what happened to her sister once… (In Gaz; Taster Of Pork.) Her hair is naturally pink. She can speak Spanish. The reason why she and Gaz have rhyming names is because Professor Membrane and his late wife, Peg thought that giving twins names that rhyme was cute. They however find it kind of awkward. Her favorite song by Lemon Demon is “Fine.” She actually wears contacts.
