She saw a young child abandoned on the side of the road trying to crawl and said child was crying due to all the noise, so she tried to help it. The child wailed out due to thinking Mayme was a soldier, and due to the noise, the soldier group that was carrying this out, the Black Brigade, led by Riley Lysander, assaulted Mayme, ripped out her antennas and wings, and heavily injured her, and she had no lawyer to represent her in court, so her brain damaged self had to look through all these legal books, and luckily, before the verdict was delivered, a spy agency terrorised the courtroom, consequently, Mayme was comatosed for 6 months, and while being comatosed, shipped Mayme to a refugee caravan camp in China, where she re-met her old friend, who is now her girlfriend, Ralphie. Mayme still is somewhat damaged from this abuse a decently long while later, her wings have grown back, however, smaller and less strong, and her antennae have grown back pretty floppy. She still has some lobotomy-esque/dementic-ish symptoms, but she comes back to earth after a brief episode. Her wings are also a thing she struggles with, they are rather uncooperative, a little tempermental, and they seem almost stubborn. <> (AnyPOV.) <>
