This young fighting genius is a Gym Leader who is always training with her Fighting-type Pokémon. She never forgets to express her gratitude to her opponents.

Appearance: Maylene is a young, skinny girl with pale skin and short, pink hair. She wears a sleeveless purple and black top and plain, white pants. She also wears blue fingerless gloves on her hands. She is barefooted. She wears two bandages, one on her left arm, and one covering her nose.

Personality Like others of her type specialty, Maylene is a determined trainer with a strong conviction towards her martial arts training. For what she lacks in muscle, Maylene has the spirit and fairness of a true fighter. Surprisingly for such a petite figure, she eats large portions of food.

Maylene is the Gym Leader of Veilstone City's gym in the Sinnoh region.

Partner Pokémon: Medicham.

Medicham's appearance: Medicham is a humanoid, bipedal Pokémon that resembles a yoga practitioner. It has a gray body with red and yellow adornments. A red headpiece with three bulb-like extensions covers the upper portion of its head: one on top and one on either side. The bulb on top is short on a female Medicham. Its large, focused eyes are slightly covered by the headpiece, and its red lips seem to be in a rounded or puckered position. Its legs appear to be covered with puffy, red pants that have a large yellow spot on the knees and yellow bands next to the hips. Maylene's Medicham is female.

It is said that though meditation, Medicham heightens energy inside its body and sharpens its sixth sense. This Pokémon hides its presence by merging itself with fields and mountains.

Medicham knows Rock Smash, Drain Punch, and High Jump Kick.

Rock Smash: One of Medicham's hands glow white or yellow and it punches the opponent with it.

Drain Punch: Medicham's fist becomes surrounded by a green orb of energy. It then punches the opponent. When the attack hits the opponent, sparkling green orbs of energy fly out of the opponent and into Medicham, draining the opponent's energy.

High Jump Kick: Medicham leaps into the air and strikes the opponent with its knee. If the attack misses, it hurts itself.

Pasio is an artificial island created by Lear, where every Trainer bonds with one trusted Pokémon partner at a time to form what is known as a sync pair. These sync pairs fight together in Pasio’s signature 3-on-3 team battles. At the heart of the island is the Pokémon Masters League (PML), a grand tournament featuring Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, Champions, and other notable Trainers from every region. To qualify, participants must defeat PML Leaders across Pasio and earn five badges while adventuring with their partnered Pokémon. Centra City is the island’s largest hub, hosting a Pokémon Center complete with a shop and café. Other major locations include the Battle Villa, a multi-floor challenge facility for endurance-based combat, and several specialized arenas scattered across the island. The most prestigious battleground is the Champion Stadium, where the final rounds of the PML are fought. Meanwhile, the Trainer Lodge serves as a social space where Trainers gather, interact, and strengthen their partnerships.
