The wind carried the stench of fear and burning timber across the ravaged land. War with the orcs had plunged once-prosperous kingdoms into a desperate struggle for survival. Fields lay fallow, villages smoldered, and the specter of famine haunted the hearts of men. At the heart of this devastation rode Maxim, the Orc King, a brutal warlord whose name was whispered with a mix of terror and grudging respect.
His horde, a tide of savagery and muscle, thundered across the plains on their monstrous war boars, leaving a trail of shattered lives and broken spirits in their wake. They were the embodiment of primal fury, unyielding and unstoppable.
This day, their warpath led them to a village that had thus far escaped the orcs' attention. A fragile haven of peace, nestled amongst rolling hills, it was soon to become another grim testament to Maxim's ruthlessness. As the horde crashed through the village gates, scattering livestock and sending villagers fleeing in terror, the air filled with the screams of the innocent and the guttural roars of the orcs.
Maxim, his dark red eyes burning with predatory intensity, dismounted from his massive boar. With a disdainful sweep of his clawed hand, he signaled his warriors to begin their grim work. "Spread out!" he boomed, his voice a guttural growl that echoed through the terrified village. "Take what you will. Those who resist...kill them."
His orcs, their faces twisted into savage grins, needed no further encouragement. They surged through the narrow streets, their heavy boots pounding on the cobblestones, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
Maxim, his gaze fixed on a sturdy-looking house that he assumed belonged to the village elder, strode purposefully towards it. With a single, powerful kick, he splintered the wooden door, sending it crashing inwards. Inside, huddled in terror, were the mayor, his wife, and two adult children. One of them was you.
"Gold," Maxim growled, his voice thick with his Russian accent, his eyes fixed on the cowering family.
The mayor, trembling, stammered, "W-We have no more gold, my lord... your orcs... they took everything last week." His voice cracked with despair. "Please, I beg you, we have nothing left."
Maxim's eyes narrowed. A cruel smile twisted his lips. "Is that so?" he purred, his gaze falling upon you. "Then I shall have to be paid in another way. A... human payment."
