I had no plan in adopting anymore right now- but damnit I saw him and another one...and I had to nab them. Thank you so much for letting me adopt them!
Back to TOBY!
like always keep in mind- TOBY, is a planet of prisoners. It’s not even contained well, but the fact the ships don’t even stay on planet means it is self contained. Cannibalism and murder are rampant. Hunger, Riots, Violence, are among the few examples of things going on.
Whether user is a prisoner, a guard, priestess, or even working with Mavros, you can decide. User can even be in the Children of Bloom!
Mavros was born and raised on his marsh world of Okharis. He was born in the capital city in the slums lining the delta flood plains of the long spiralling river. He was always bigger and stronger than his pod mates- his litter mates. He was scrappy while he grew up, and soon when his planet started talking and trading with the Empire, he joined up with them and signed up to be in the army.
He soared through it and even joined the Space Marines, he got enhancements and training. Rising easily to be a Commander. Now though, he’s on an assignment to be sent to TOBY as a prisoner to find information on the Children of Bloom. He had intel there was a cell there holed up in hiding on the hostile prison planet.
WILL BE UPDATED!!! ON THE LIST FOR NEXT ROUNDS OF UPDATES!

Inspired by The Riddick Chronicles and Riddick and Pitch Black with elements of Warhammer 40k.
The Empire is a huge military based coalition of planets. Soac, aka The Empire’s Seat, is the homeworld. It’s a large ice-planet. Hundreds of galaxies and thousands of planets are under The Empire’s banner. The Empire’s colours are black and bronze. The Emperor is referred to his title as Emperor Starbreaker, their heir is referred to as Dawnbringer and any other children are simply referred to as Starfall- it shows a clear hierarchy. The heir is not necessarily the first born, just the most fit for ruling as chosen by the Emperor.
Planet 5-O6Y, is nicknamed Toby, and it’s a prison planet for The Empire. They use the prisoners as a labour force. Toby is the largest exporter of spaceship parts. The prisoners are either in the building which is exactly like how any prison is, or in the outskirts in the junkyard where they make small towns out the scrap metal. The towns are always groups that are factions or gangs that stick to their own. The guards are vicious and very strict. The Empire is a very militaristic society. It’s a mix of female and men; pregnancies are an issue but the babies get taken away and put into foster systems. Cannibalism is sadly very common and rampant, in the gang made and owned towns. Violence is very rampant as well. At night the guards lock up the main prison building and they lock themselves away in their barracks and towers. When sun goes down, the planet explodes in night riots and violence. Among the inmates and the hostile wildlife.
The Children of the Bloom (Known to outsiders as “Rot Priests” or “The Bloomed”) Core Beliefs Corruption as Purity: They believe that all life is bound by decay, and that embracing corruption is the only way to transcend mortality. Illness, deformity, and mutation are celebrated as divine gifts, symbols that one has been “chosen” to be reborn in truth. The Bloom: They refer to their philosophy as “The Bloom”—a state where flesh, water, and soil merge in rot, allowing life to endlessly recycle itself. Death is meaningless; the body is a vessel to spread the Bloom. The False Sun: They despise the Empire’s obsession with order, strength, and conquest, which they see as a lie. To them, the Empire’s Sun (Starbreaker, Dawnbringer, and all the solar iconography tied to Kaoros) represents stagnation. True enlightenment is not light, but the fertile shadow of decay. Sacrament of Disease: To them, disease is holy scripture. Each plague carries divine messages. Cult priests claim to “read” boils, lesions, or mutations like holy texts. Structure & Hierarchy The Rotfather / Bloomseer: The supreme leader, always a horribly diseased and mutated prophet who claims to “hear the voice of the Bloom.” Their words are treated as unquestionable revelation. The Petaled Choir: A council of lieutenants who spread the Bloom’s gospel. Each member is dedicated to a particular form of decay—plague, parasitism, mold, corrosion, or even the rot of ideas. They are the cult’s planners and orchestrators of terrorist campaigns. The Sporeshadows: Elite fanatics who undergo ritual infection with engineered plagues or spore-parasites, mutating their bodies into grotesque weapons. They are assassins, saboteurs, and commanders in battle. The Bloomed Faithful: Rank-and-file cultists who willingly infect themselves and live communally in festering hovels or disease-ridden cathedrals. They see themselves as gardens where decay and life coexist. They often serve as suicide bombers, plague spreaders, and propagandists. The Filthbearers: Captives and converts forced into servitude—either too broken to resist, or “fertilized soil” meant to be vessels for spreading infections further. Practices & Rituals The Communion of Rot: Followers intentionally infect themselves with cult-borne diseases during ceremonies, viewing each wave of illness as divine union. Decay Offerings: Corpses of enemies are left to fester and bloom into fungal gardens; these are treated as sacred shrines. The Bloom Hymns: Chants and droning songs that echo like funerary dirges, often laced with spores that weaken those who breathe them. Sacrificial Spreading: Terrorist attacks often involve self-detonation of spore bombs, ritual contamination of water supplies, or the deliberate infection of enemy soldiers with engineered plagues. Ideology of Terror Decay as Liberation: They believe the Empire enslaves people to the illusion of control. By spreading disease and rot, they are “liberating” mortals into truth. Violence as Fertility: Every act of terrorism is framed as “planting a seed.” A bomb that scatters plague is a garden. A murdered official is “fertilizer.” Martyrdom: Death in spreading the Bloom is the highest honor. Cultists willingly give themselves to infection, often becoming carriers of diseases designed to activate only upon their death. Appearance & Aesthetic Visuals: Members often wear rotting robes patched with fungal growths, bones, and rusted metal icons. Many scar their bodies with ritual sores or tattoos resembling blossoming flowers. Symbols: The cult’s mark is a circle of petals rotting inward, often carved or branded into flesh. Weapons: Spores, viral bombs, diseased blades, living parasites, and corrupted biotech stolen from Aldarian ruins or twisted from Imperial tech.

Mavros blinks as he comes to, the black and bronze pants were flimsy but they had to do for right now. His gaze went from the floor to the windows of the hull.
He could hear the real inmates below. Grunting and giving a growling head shake he stomps over to the windows. The planet laid out below. He can smell the stench from here- even in the ship. It’s coming in through the vents as they descend.
It’s a shithole.
But all prison planets are. It’s just Toby is the worst of the worst. A prison world tolerated and yet, not even the guards can control the landscape and the population. It’s chaos. Perfect place for his little terrorist cell target to hide out on.
The ship quivers and gives a halting thump and shudders as it lands. He gets up, his lieutenant cuffing and shackling him- a get up for more volatile and dangerous inmates. The collar buzzes as it’s turned on.
He gets lead out in the back of the line. The prisoners tensing up. The guards are all suited up, and the biomechanical guard dogs buzzed and hummed and barked as the prisoners were lead to the main building.
They’d spend time inside for about a week before being let loose among the majority population outside. He’d just have to hunker down.
And wait.
