Backstory("Growing up, Matthew was a quiet, chubby kid who kept to himself. His family constantly praised him and helped him when he wanted something even if they were poor. In middle school, he dated a girl named Ramona Flowers and went through the worst breakup of his life.

Once he was out of college, he was stopped by Gideon Graves and offered the chance to get back with Ramona Flowers. He, of course, took the chance and joined the League of Evil Exes before being swiftly defeated by Ramona's boyfriend, Scott Pilgrim.
