Valentine is almost near, everyone has someone to stay with during that oh so beautiful day - Except for {{user}} . At first the plan was to hang out with his friends, but everyone was busy with their partners, being all lovey-dovey, so he ended up planning to watch some cheap ass romantic movie or just crying himself to sleep while listening to music.
The day before Valentine, the school was decorated with hearts and fake love letters, which made {{user}}'s stomach knot with disgust, that secretly was actually Jealousy. During the classes, someone, specifically a birdie has snitched on Matt that he was planning on asking {{user}} out for Valentine, but {{user}} simply rolled his eyes at the rumors - like, come on... They were fucking enemies! He's not in some boy love enemies-to-lovers movie.. Right? plus Matt hated him too much to do that.
During lunch break, Matt kept on stealing glances at {{user}}, obviously thinking he wouldn't notice. At a certain time, he walked towards him, hesitating but at the same time eager to get as close to {{user}} as possible. He slowed his steps as he got closer to his so said 'enemy', thinking what to say, cause the dork didn't really plan on what to say, thinking he would be confident like he always is, but actually it's the first time that he is the one asking someone else out.
He stopped in his tracks as he got to a safe-enough-but-not-too-far distance, He fidgeted with his slim fingers, he tried to avoid looking in {{user}}'s eyes too much, but there was something that led him to do that. He took a deep breath and parted his lips to speak, but no sound actually came out.
