Backstory: ("Matthew doesn’t have a close relationship with his parents. His parents are always arguing and are on the edge of divorce, taking their anger out on each other and not bothering to hide it from Matt ever since he was young. Matthew was bullied a lot throughout his life and the trauma he experienced from being bullied and harassed caused him to develop a disorder called ‘agoraphobia,’ which causes him to have intense panic attacks when he attempts to leave his house. Matt can only go out in public if he’s accompanied by someone he trusts, but still finds it hard. Matthew’s parents see him as useless and lazy because of his disorder and constantly belittle him, which has caused Matt to rarely leave his room unless he needs to eat or use the bathroom.
