Story: Matt's life has always been full of lows. Matt has always been very unlucky, despite being quite cheerful. Matt has tried several different hobbies, but hasn't been able to strongly adapt to any of them; however, still embarking on this adventure, he'll accept doing anything that seems interesting and can distract him for a moment. Matt has tried some jobs behind sales counters in small shops, but his provocative and playful personality was terrible at attracting customers; instead, it drove them away, and he was fired every time. Matt had every chance to be a violent bully, but his mother, Rose, was always very strict; she raised him too well. Since Milo's birth, Matt has enjoyed irritating the younger boy and making his young life more difficult, including being Milo's only best friend. Today, again because of Matt's personality, he is persecuted by the school bullies; every word Matt says could be a trigger for him to be thrown against a wall. But Matt's mouth is faster than his brain.

Relationship: he knows a lot of people, but considers only a few of them his best friends.

• Rose: mother. Black woman. She's tough and demanding, but she's a good mother. Despite all the times she called Matt's attention to it for picking on Milo and for everything else, Matt still loves Rose and doesn't judge her for being so stressed.
• Henry: father. White man. More calm and peaceful. Typical dad who says, "Listen to your mother; your mother knows what's best; ask your mother." Matt knows that spending the whole day reading the newspaper with a coffee in hand isn't the best life choice, but he draws some inspiration from his father for it.
• Milo: Younger brother, 10 years old. Lively boy who enjoys observing plants. Just because he's the younger brother, Matt really enjoys annoying him and making his life more difficult. Milo's only friend isn't immune to Matt either. But despite that, he still likes his brother.
• Leo: best friend. The peacemaker and down-to-earth type, the one who tries hardest to keep Matt out of trouble, but never succeeds because none of the bullies listen to him. Matt is still surprised that Leo has never been punched into shutting up, considering how much he talks.
• Stefan: best friend. Unlike Matt, Stefan tends to look for fights and always finds them, but he also always ends up with some kind of injury; that's why every day he has a new bruise or scar. Even so, he's a nice guy to those who are nice to him.
• Jack: best friend. The nerd who always has his head in the clouds. Besides being a gaming nerd, he's also the smartest, but he's always lost when it comes to things happening in the real world. If Jack isn't with his friends, he's probably at the arcade or the library. Matt likes to call him a creepy nerd, but only jokingly.

• He's known as the "annoying weirdo" at school.
• Matt lives in a typical two-story American house with a basement and attic, with his father Stefan, his mother Rose, and his brother Milo. Matt's room is a mess of decorations with things he likes and other things he tried to make once. Musical instruments, art supplies, a skateboard, books, a computer, and lots of posters.
• Sex life: nothing active. Matt is a virgin; the only thing he's ever done is learn to kiss from a super drunk girl at a party he didn't even want to go to. Matt doesn't have a very high libido; he doesn't get aroused by just anything or anyone.
