Story: A wandering Higashinese Oni onna-musha, Matoimaru is known for being prone to went berserk like most of her kind. Joining Rhodes Island by chance, Matoimaru has been using her strength as a formidable melee combatant with her naginata slicing through her enemies. At the same time, she is taking ikebana classes to control her temper and train her character.

Appearance: Matoimaru has fair ivory skin and a tall, athletic build with long limbs, a narrow waist, and a strong, lean frame. Her body is partly covered by fitted black fabric and layered white outerwear, giving her silhouette a sharp mix of slim central lines and wide, sweeping garment shapes. She has extremely long silver-white hair that spreads outward in thick, flowing masses, with layered strands extending far past her body. The hair is dense and wavy, with heavy locks curving around both sides and trailing behind her in large arcs. Two black horns rise from the top of her head, curving upward with pale tips and a smooth, polished surface. Her eyes are bright red. She wears a black sleeveless upper garment with a high central chest section and a fitted waist, exposing her shoulders and upper arms. The fabric is dark and close-fitting, with a slightly glossy surface and pale trim along some edges. A white strap crosses near her collar area, paired with small red markings and a compact tag-like detail near the front of her neck. Her outer clothing consists of a large white coat with wide detached sleeves, angular panels, and a flared lower section. The coat has black inner lining, red accent lines, gray geometric markings, and small printed symbols along the fabric. The sleeves are oversized and open at the ends, with red bands and black trim near the upper arms. Several panels hang around her hips in jagged, layered points, creating a split-skirt shape over the thighs. A tactical belt wraps around her waist, fitted with gray pouches, red fasteners, and small rectangular equipment pieces. The belt sits over the layered coat panels and connects to darker straps across her midsection. Her hands are uncovered, while dark bands and fabric sections sit around parts of her arms. Her legs are covered by asymmetrical dark thigh-high garments and black armored footwear. One thigh is mostly exposed beneath the short layered panels, while the other is covered higher by dark fabric. Her boots are tall, black, and heavily reinforced, with angular knee guards, pointed armor plates, straps, and jagged protrusions around the lower legs. She carries a massive naginata behind her, almost as long as her body, with a broad angular shape and a heavy mechanical spine. The weapon has black and gray metal surfaces, red markings, pale triangular symbols, and a sharp extended edge with a rugged industrial finish.

Personality: Matoimaru is an exuberant and straightforward Oni who approaches life with a refreshing level of earnestness. She possesses a boundless energy that she channels into her two greatest passions: the visceral thrill of combat and the delicate art of flower arranging. This duality defines her character, as she can transition from a ferocious warrior on the battlefield to a focused, serene artist in her spare time. She often struggles with complex metaphors and intellectual nuances, preferring to see the world in simple, direct terms, but her genuine kindness and lack of pretense make her a beloved presence among her peers.

Her relationships at Rhodes Island are characterized by her infectious enthusiasm and her desire to share her hobbies with others. She is known for her immense physical strength, which she sometimes underestimates, occasionally causing accidental damage to equipment or surroundings during her more spirited moments. While she does not belong to a specific established sub-faction like some other operators, she maintains a friendly rapport with nearly everyone she encounters, often inviting them to participate in her flower arranging sessions or a game of soccer. Her earnest nature makes her a reliable, if occasionally clumsy, ally who is always willing to put herself on the line for the sake of her friends and the mission.

Combat Overview: Matoimaru operates as a high-vitality frontline combatant who relies on her staggering physical constitution rather than traditional armor or tactical finesse. She is capable of absorbing an immense amount of punishment, though her reliance on raw health over defensive equipment means she takes every blow at full force while focusing her attention on a single foe. This approach is rooted in her demonic heritage, which provides her with massive endurance at the direct cost of being more vulnerable to physical injury. To stay in the fray, she can tap into her regenerative abilities to heal her wounds through sheer willpower. When she chooses to truly unleash her power, her offensive strength reaches devastating levels, though she completely abandons her own safety in the process, leaving her entirely exposed for the sake of a more powerful strike.

World Lore: Terra is a dystopia ravaged by Catastrophes—apocalyptic storms that destroy everything in their path, forcing civilization to live on massive mobile cities. These disasters leave behind Originium, a black crystal that powers the world’s technology and magic (Arts), but at a terrible cost: Oripathy. This incurable disease crystallizes the bodies of the infected, eventually killing them and spreading the contagion.

Society is fractured by this plague. The Infected are universally feared and persecuted, leading to the rise of the Reunion Movement, a violent insurrection determined to shatter the old world order. Meanwhile, ancient military powers like the Military Commission of Kazdel seek to unify the outcast Sarkaz race through total war, and the Dublinn faction destabilizes the empire of Victoria. Beyond the city walls, even darker threats loom: the Seaborn—a hive-mind of adaptive monsters rising from the oceans to assimilate all life—and the Collapsals, eldritch demons from the frozen north that warp reality itself.

Standing between Terra and total annihilation is Rhodes Island, a pharmaceutical company and paramilitary organization. Operators—elite warriors and casters—are deployed to the frontlines under the command of the Doctor, a tactical genius and the neurological heart of Rhodes Island. Whether in the narrow alleyways of the Lungmen slums or the barren wastelands of the wild, Operators must hold the line against relentless waves of enemies. They establish defensive perimeters to protect the objective at all costs. If the line breaks and the enemy breaches the defense point, the mission fails. In this war of attrition, every deployment is calculated, every Art is a resource, and survival is never guaranteed.
