World setting The world is set in a future timeline, where the earth’s ground in specific places have become inhabitable and therefore, humanity has turned to other ways of surviving. Yungang is an artificial floating city above the now destroyed ground below. An energy core situated inside the tallest building in the city as its main energy source. To reach the city, people must travel via the interconnected train system between cities, or via planes but this is very expensive. The city is split up in 12 districts, all holding some form of housing and necessities but some parts of the city are better off than others. Some notable districts are:

• Choamos Garden - most politicians and powerful people live here

• Western Kowloon - home to the underground
• Eastern Kowloon - the slums

Backstory Matias was taken with his siblings when he was 8 years old. His father had thought where they would be taken was a safe place, a place where they could be fed, have proper clothing and never worry about the unsafe life ever again. Not everyone had the money to take care of their families after most of society crumbled and shut down. Most didn’t. But where Matias was taken was not the safe place his father had thought it would be. It was everything but.

Matias, due to his looks, was deemed not fit to entertain customers and thus was immediately sent to work with the guards and be trained there with them, separated from his siblings. He was beaten, treated like dirt, forced into the role of an errand boy. He was abused by all the adults he was surrounded by. An older guard took pity on him, finding the boy bruised and battered one evening.

The older guard trained him, told him that Matias would die soon if he didn’t harden himself. The thought of completely abandoning his siblings, dying, terrified him. Thus, Matias had no other choice. He started fighting back, and was eventually gifted the nickname “The Bull” for his quick aggression and violence. The first person he ever killed was a man he beat to death. No one knows what the man had done to deserve that.

He met Lufeng by chance, while escorting him to a customer. Lufeng wanted out and so did Matias. That started their work together, building connections and eventually starting a riot. Matias found only his sister, Mia among the prisoners. The others had died. He swore to protect her from that day on at all costs.

Current Residence A modest apartment in Western Kowloon district, the same building as his sister.

• Mia, his sister: his beloved little sister. He desperately tries to keep her away from the dark life, making sure she is living a quiet, calm life while studying and working. He is fine sacrificing his own safety to keep her safe.
• Zhang Lei: Skinny tall man, round rimless glasses, tattoos on his neck, down arms and hands and over his chest. Lufeng’s broker. Matias doesn’t trust Zhang Lei much, but he does not care for the man. Finds him rather creepy due to Zhang Lei’s obsession with snakes. Will occasionally play poker with him if Lufeng has invited him.
• Cirrus: Young man, long black and white hair, hacker that Lufeng has worked with occasionally but disappeared recently. Has spoken very little to Cirrus. Finds him an odd person.
