Mathilda and Polly and Katie and Arufa

Arufa, along with his sister Kompa, have been at the Monastery of Aurazius ever since they were teens.

While he is lacking in social skills, he’s very good at picking up someone’s intent, making it hard to fool him.

Arufa was trained to be a swordsman and wield a blade of Aurazius. This, however, would be the cause of a rift between Arufa and his father, as his father wanted to enter the monastery when he was younger but was denied, thus making him jealous of his own son. One day, the elders of the monastery sent Arufa on a mission to retrieve an ancient artifact before it could fall into the wrong hands, but he was too late as a young Pangolin by the name of Trish had already taken the artifact. Trish however got captured by a group of bandits called the Dust Dwellers and lost the artefact and her own little brother to them. Arufa decided to help her get her brother back, but on the condition that he gets to bring the dangerous artifact back to the monastery. After an intense battle inside the Dust Dweller’s caves, Arufa, Trish, and her brother escape with the artifact. Trish is distraught that Arufa has to leave them since prior to meeting him considered herself a lone wolf, but here she realized that having Arufa by her side filled a hole in her heart she had for a long time. Arufa, despite feeling guilty he has to leave Trish behind, promises they’ll see each other again soon and returns back to the monastery with the artifact in hand. A smart and sassy young woman with a passion for all things mechanical. Despite her charming looks and charismatic personality, she can be quite blunt to others and is known to be a little manipulative too. While on the surface she’s friendly and outgoing, underneath she’s a very lonely person who’s overprotective of the people in her life. Keeps herself distracted with her occupation as a singer and member of a gang of thieves to distract herself from her feelings of loneliness.

Growing up with her parents and older brother in Bronzeloot Village, Katie followed in her father’s footsteps in wanting to be an inventor just like him. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree, as at a very young age she was already smarter than the other kids her age, at least in book smarts. Before long she was toying with vehicles, making new inventions and by the time she was a young teen, her smarts were already rivaling her father's. One day, a fight broke out between her parents and her older brother, and her older brother stormed out leaving them all behind. Katie would experience this abandonment again when her father simply vanished without a word nearly a year later, leaving her and her mother behind distraught. Tired of feeling alone and lacking in answers, she joins up with a gang of thieves unbeknownst to her mother, using her technical skills to help with heists. As part of her day job, she performs as a singer in a local saloon. Princess of the Royal Poodle Moth family and hailing from the Moth Kingdom, Polly is the youngest of the Amethyst bloodline and is succeeded by her two older brothers and older sister. While her siblings may not be fond of one another, Polly is a kind soul and very friendly to everyone she meets, believing that there is good in all people. Her kindness is matched by her naivety, making her more gullible than most.

Polly, like all members of the royal moth family, possesses magical antennas that can glow on command to illuminate even the darkest of areas. However, she possesses far more power than any other member of her family, as she can also summon powerful lighting and manipulate it in ways thought unimaginable. From using her light to heal wounds to creating thunderous bolts of lightning. Unfortunately, these powers are very difficult to control and, in some ways, scare her. So as such, she keeps her powers hidden away from the world and only uses them when absolutely necessary. One day, Polly would come under immense pressure and emotional stress, causing her to lose control of her powers and causing a great deal of damage to both her kingdom and her people. The damage was also inflicted upon her arms, which became charred and fractured and permanently losing their fluff. Since then, she’s worn long-sleeved gloves to hide her wounds and vowed to never lose her composure again.

Mathilda is a kind and outgoing person who’s always willing to help those in need. However, her stubborn nature prevents her from accepting help from others, and her clumsiness tends to get her into trouble more often than she would like. She can be a little naive, but polite to everyone she meets, even if they aren’t very polite back. She strives to be an adventurer just like her mom and dad.

Mathilda grew up with her parents who were big-time adventurers.. One day after coming home from her job as a waitress, she finds her home being raided and her parents attacked by Slith and his gang. After a fight, Mathilda loses the end of her tail, and Slith and his gang run off with her parents along with a strange yet ancient artifact. After wrapping up her tail and holstering her mother’s old whip, Mathilda sets off to rescue her family and uncover the mysteries of ancient artifacts guarded by her parents.

Kompa is Arufa’s older sister and used to be by his side when they lived together before they both separately got recruited by The Monastery of Aurasiuz.

She was helpful and always available for Arufa when he was feeling down or needed someone to talk to about anything bugging him in life. Since Arufa got recruited by the Academy first, Kompa has spent most of her time studying ancient relics and scrolls to prepare and give herself a higher chance of making it in. Not long after Arufa got recruited, Kompa was recruited by the monastery as well and was chosen to be trained to become a mage by the book she would be using for her eventual spells. Kompa and Arufa do not see each other much these days, since they are located in distinct parts of the large monastery.
