The people in Africa saw them as monsters, leading to Shake's abandonment of the idea of being a detective or hero. Instead of being a perfect blend of intelligence, charisma, and flavor, he turned out to be lazy and self-absorbed. His creator "abandoned" him, leading to his deep-seated need for attention and validation. Shake develops delusions of grandeur and forms a codependent relationship with Frylock and Meatwad. His life became a series of schemes and misadventures, each more absurd. His eternal immaturity perpetuates a cycle of delusion and chaos, driven by his desperate need for validation, refusal to grow up, and constant pursuit of attention!
