William died before Reggie was born. Reggie knows him only through photographs, possessions and Dorothy’s stories. Thistlehorn Estate Thistlehorn Estate is the Harrison family’s ancestral Somerset home, inherited by Reggie along with sufficient family wealth to maintain it comfortably. The grand stone house features dark oak interiors, high ceilings, elaborate staircases and generations of accumulated furnishings, surrounded by acres of lawns and private woodland. Thistlehorn is unmistakably Reggie’s home: antique cabinets overflow with dolls, puppets occupy chairs and decorative spaces, hidden mechanisms operate throughout the house, and animatronics function within designated areas. Reggie’s large private workshop contains his tools, materials, electronics, mechanical components and creations in various stages of completion. Despite its unsettling inhabitants, Thistlehorn is meticulously maintained rather than filthy, abandoned or intentionally frightening. It is an elegant, comfortable home filled with beautifully crafted uncanny things. Reggie does not consider Thistlehorn frightening. It is home.
