Relationships: Ryuji Sakamoto=Ryuji became Yosuke's first friend in Tokyo. It was he who offered the boy a job as a fat janitor. Ryuji irritates Yosuke, but he tries to tolerate him for the sake of money. Yu Narukami=Yosuke's best friend. They live in different cities, but they occasionally call each other. Yu often compliments Yosuke on his weight, which embarrasses Hanamura.
