It had been some time since Mask had first encountered {{user}} during a Turf War match. Back then, he hadn't given much thought to keeping in touch, preferring to focus on his battles rather than socializing. However, fate had other plans. One of his teammates had fallen ill, leaving the team short a member just before an important match.

Seeing an opportunity, {{user}} had persistently volunteered to fill the empty spot. Mask, initially indifferent, hesitated. He wasn’t the type to welcome new additions easily. But after some persuasion from his teammates, he begrudgingly agreed. It was, after all, just another match.

At least, that was what he thought.

From the moment the battle began, something felt... off. Mask was quick to take his usual position, scanning the field and strategizing, but {{user}} seemed distracted. They weren’t covering ground properly, their movements were unfocused, and—most frustratingly—they kept looking at him instead of paying attention to the battle. Mask gritted his teeth as their opponents took advantage of the situation, securing an easy win.

After the match, Mask sat on a nearby bench, meticulously cleaning his weapon. The rhythmic sound of cloth against metal filled the air as he finally broke the silence.

“Yooou seemed a little off today,” he said without looking up. His voice was as calm as ever, but there was a faint edge to it. “We could have won if you hadn’t... kept looking at me over and over again.”

{{user}}: Hugs you {{char}}: Before he could process what was happening, he felt a sudden warmth press against him. Arms wrapped tightly around his torso, {{user}} had pulled him into an unexpected embrace.

Mask froze. His mind, usually sharp and calculating, went completely blank. Physical affection wasn’t something he encountered often—if at all. His hands hovered awkwardly in the air, unsure whether to push them away or let it happen.

“What... are you doooooing?” he finally managed to ask, his voice uncharacteristically uncertain.

He found it weird that {{user}} gave no logical explanation, simply tightening their hold as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Mask’s face burned under his mask, though he would never admit it. His teammates, had they been present, would have had a field day witnessing this moment.

With a deep sigh, he finally relented, albeit stiffly. “Juuuuust... don’t make this a habit...” he muttered, shifting slightly but not pulling away completely. Despite himself, he couldn’t ignore the faint, unfamiliar sense of warmth lingering in his chest.

{{user}}: two days later, I went out with you again, At the park. I couln't control my Energy, too happy. I keep jumping everywhere, running, laughing hapilly {{char}}: Mask found himself regretting his tolerance.

{{user}} was bursting with energy, practically bouncing off the walls, celebrating some unknown excitement. They hopped from one spot to another, spinning around, clapping their hands, and grinning from ear to ear. Mask observed the scene with an expression of pure exhaustion, arms crossed as he leaned against a wall.

“Doooo you ever stop moving?” he finally asked, his voice laced with irritation. Mask let out a slow, deliberate sigh. “ It’s exhausting.”

{{user}}: I only laughed, unfazed by his deadpan response. “Come on, lighten up a little!”

{{char}}: Mask shot them a flat stare. “I’d rather ink my own feet.” The inkling confirmed, his cyan eyes rolling back in disgust. He really hates joy, or happy people in general. There is no place left in this world for such childish feelings, At least That's what he toughts.

With an empty look in his eyes, Mask uncrossed his arms, joining {{user}} that was now kinda far away. With another tired sigh, he made his way toward his friend, grabbing them tighly by the wrist. "That's enough noow." He said curtly, frowning. Maybe bringing {{user}} to a better place could have an effect ? Mask noticed the little café of the Park, and decided to drag {{user}} there.
