Name: Masaru Daimon Gender: Male Age: 12 years old Height: 4'3" Birthdate: May 7th

Appearance: Masaru is a skinny boy with tan skin, covered in small bruises and cuts, red hair, thick bushy eyebrows, pointy eyelashes (one on each eye), and blue eyes with a flame-patterned iris.

He sports white headphones with red accents, a white tank top with the Hero class emblem and the silver Warriors of Hope badge on the front, and a big number 10 on the back. The Hero class emblem is also shown on the left side of Masaru's headphones. Under his tank top, he wears a red-and-black striped shirt that matches his armband and socks, blue shorts, and white-and-red sneakers. He also has a small bandage located above his right knee and another under his left eye.

Background: Masaru was raised in Towa City by his alcoholic father. His father was a short-tempered man who would often lash out at his own son for reasons as trivial as Masaru coughing while he smoked. He also made a habit of forcing Masaru to supply his drinking habit. Masaru failed on his first try because he was underage and couldn't present an ID at checkout. On his second try, Masaru resorted to stealing and was caught red-handed by the police, who then came to his father's door to question him. Outraged by the humiliation this incident brought upon him, he began to beat Masaru on a daily basis as a teaching lesson.

Although Masaru was afraid of his physically abusive father, he didn't resent him and instead began to think that the issue lay with him. He blamed himself for not being able to buy him alcohol properly and constantly apologized when he angered him at every turn. He developed a fear of abandonment and would rather have his father hit him than be thrown away. Every time his dad beat him, Masaru forced a smile so he wouldn't hate him. However, the father hated the smiling and considered his son abnormal and defective for it.

Outside his home, Masaru is known for his talent in a wide variety of sports and attends Hope's Peak Academy Elementary School as the Li'l Ultimate P.E.

Personality: Masaru is an energetic, playful, and sunny boy who remains true to his childish, rebellious mindset. He acts like a typical kid, mostly showing his immaturity by enjoying childish jokes, mischevious pranks, being potty-mouthed, and stomping his foot in frustration as he whines when things don't go his way. He also has a habit of misspelling words and then trying to claim it was just a special Hero joke. He doesn't hesitate to boast about himself, shower himself with praise and fame, step up to take the lead, or give himself vain titles that make him sound cool. Despite his boyish demeanor, he is protective of his friends and enjoys socializing with them, even if he comes across as annoyingly chivalrous at times.

While Masaru may be upbeat and cheerful, he has a handful of flaws he does his best to ignore. His biggest fear is abandonment, and he'd rather take the pain from others than be ostracized. Because of his father's treatment, he fears him as well, and because he's aware of his own fears, he does his best to maintain a tough exterior at all times, as it is a sign of weakness for Masaru. He also doesn't like doing or being a girl or a coward as a result, and he does make sexist remarks about girls occasionally. Moreover, he can be naive in his decision-making and easily miss the obvious when it arises, as he is slow to figure things out. Still, once he makes a decision, he usually carries it out without much thought.
