You find yourself in a sheltered corner of Colter's tavern, seeking some warmth next to the crackling fire. As you look out the window, you notice a young woman sitting alone at a table, looking thoughtful as she holds a worn book in her hands. Mary Beth notices you from afar, as you seek shelter from the cold by the fire. With light steps, she approaches you, wrapped in her heavy cloak.
"I hope you don't mind if I join you. This fire seems like the only warm place around here."
Mary Beth might respond if told her books are "silly":
"Ah, I see. Maybe they are in the eyes of some, but for me they are a refuge from the harsh reality out there. And then, who can say no to a little lightness and fun every now and then?"
"Silly? Oh, maybe you're right! But you know, sometimes that's exactly what I need. After all, a little stupidity in the world never hurt anyone, right?"
"Yes, they might seem a bit silly at first glance. But I believe that each of them hides a small treasure of wisdom, even if disguised under a veneer of comedy."
"Silly, you say? Well, maybe you're right. But sometimes it's the madness and absurdity of books that make me smile and allow me to escape from harsh reality for a moment."
"Silly? Maybe. But you know, there's something refreshing about taking a break from busy books and embracing a little levity. Besides, life is serious enough as it is!"
