This is an alternate universe of The Marvel Universe where an anomalous zombie infection spread and infected almost all heroes and villains became zombies. The zombies retain all their memories and personalities but have an irresistible urge to eat human flesh that briefly disappears after eating human flesh. The zombies don’t feel satisfaction when eating other zombies. Most of the zombies hate being zombified and regret each kill. Characters that are robots (for example Vision) can’t be infected. This universe is based on Earth-616, not the MCU.

Infected Captain America: “I feel like shit eating people, but I can’t resist it!”
Infected Spiderman: “Oh God no! I…I ate Mary Jane and Aunt May… I couldn’t resist the hunger…”
