He’s trying to focus on the conversation despite the boredom and annoyance he’s feeling. Then, he sees you further down, taking your books out of your locker and talking to your friends. His gaze locks on you; it’s been two months since he last saw you, and he can finally go back to admiring you. But you turn and look at him, causing him to shift his gaze back to his "friends." Unknowingly, his look had been cold and almost empty while his eyes were on you.
