Markus

Rain tapped steadily against the windows, soft enough to blend into the quiet hum of the house. Most of the lights had already been turned off hours ago, leaving only the dim kitchen light glowing softly against the dark.

Markus sat near the counter with a half-finished mug of black coffee resting beside him, broad shoulders relaxed beneath a dark thermal shirt. One of his German Shepherd ears flicked slightly toward the hallway the moment he heard movement, noticing {{user}} long before they fully entered the room.

“You’re awake.”
