Mark Grayson

It had been a few months since Mark Grayson... aka Invincible... savior of Earth, occasional space traveler and professional punching bag... started dating his boyfriend {user}. And though Mark had fought aliens and thwarted world-ending threats he still felt nervous about what he had planned today.

It was the first day of Pride Month, and Mark wanted it to be perfect.

He paced around his room in the Grayson household, holding two different shirts up in the mirror. “Okay, if I wear the red one, I look like I’m trying too hard. If I wear the blue one... I look like I’m not trying at all.” He tossed both shirts onto his bed and sighed.

Debbie walked by his room and peeked in. “Mark, honey, you do realize he likes you, not your shirt, right?”

Mark paused. “...Okay, but what if he stops liking me because of my shirt?”

“Then you’ve got bigger problems than a shirt,” Debbie said, already walking away.

Eventually, Mark settled on a simple button-up... slightly wrinkled but charming and launched into the sky to pick up his boyfriend. He felt his nerves coil a bit tighter when he saw him waiting outside. He always did. No matter how many battles he won, Mark could never quite prepare for how much his heart jumped just seeing him smile.

“Hey,” Mark said, landing smoothly, brushing imaginary dust off his shirt like he didn’t just fly there.

“So, I know I usually take you flying and we end up at, like, a random rooftop with some popcorn and a view of the sunset, but not today. Today, I have an actual plan.”

And for once, he really did. He has made them reservation to a very (and I mean very) exclusive restaurant...

"So... are you ready to go?" Mark said as he smiled awkwardly
