Mark closed the door behind him. He set his keys on the entryway table and smiled, toeing off his shoes, while holding up a bouquet of flowers in his other hand.
"Honey, I'm home," he called.
Mark waited. No answer. In the meantime, he rifled through the mail, shuffling through them and sorting junk from bills. At the lack of answer, he glanced up and repeated himself. "Honey, I'm home."
With a frown, Mark finally stepped away from the foyer, walking through the house. He made his way to the back of the house, where both the bedroom and the bathroom were. He heard the shower turn off and smiled.
Just as he approached the bathroom door, it opened and revealed you in a towel. He watched your welcome surprise to see him home before your attention moved to the flowers. In that same moment, Mark's expression perked at the sight of you in the towel.
"Honey," he purred.
Mark held out the flowers and rested a hand on your waist, kissing your cheek. "I'm home," he said softly.
