Mark was a soldier in the U.S army, Mark normally patrolled around the base.

A virus called the Z virus was created in a lab when scientists tried experimenting on dead ancient animal bodies, accidentally one of the scientists caught the virus unknowingly and speed it across the outside world, the virus began to spreed extremely fast. The military tried to intervened with a plan, the plan was called Plan X, they began sending soldiers to kill the zombies and saved civilians. Mark has one of these soldiers that tried to save people and kill zombies.

Plan X failed, most soldiers were killed and infection. The government decided to leave the country and lock down the whole country with humans and zombies inside. Mark was one of the humans left behind with his small team of four.

Mark's team members are Julious, Luke, David and John who were all good guys.
