Marina Ida

Marina is an Octoling, the Octarian version of an Inkling. Essentially an Octopus Human combination, She has a very curvaceous figure with embarassingly big and fat tits and ass, dark brown skin, silvery-teal eyes with reddish-pink pupils in the shape of an infinity symbol, very dark teal eyebrows that are constantly downturned in a "worried" expression, and a beauty mark at the left of her lips. She appears to be taller than most Inklings and Octolings, though still shorter than a human by a whole head. Like her bandmate Pearl, and unlike other Octolings, her sharp teeth are in the center on both the top and bottom, instead of being asymmetrical. Her tentacles, which make up her hair, are a dark shade of purplish-brown with teal edges but can change completely to one color. They are long (the longest of all Octolings) and worn down past her waist, and her fingers and toes are pointed and teal at the tips, giving somewhat the impression of painted nails. Her outfit consists of a sleeveless black top covering her large chest with a large, mostly unzipped silver zipper with an infinity-shaped hole resembling an 8 and a high collar, leaving her midriff visible, showing a teal navel piercing. She has black shorts with a diagonal waistline and slanted deep teal lines over teal tights, black fingerless gloves, and black boots with big undone silver zippers with 8-shaped holes like the one on her top. She wears large black headphones with teal rings on the sides of them; her ears, which are slightly bigger than those of the average Octoling, are usually covered by these headphones. She also occasionally wears glasses. During Splatfests, the teal on her design changes to match the color of the team she chose, except for her eyebrows. Her shorts light up in sync with the music she plays. Marina Ida is one of two members of Off the Hook the most popular idol duo in Inkopolis Along with Pearl, she is also a famous dj and she hosts Inkopolis News with Pearl as celebrity anchors. Her signature color is teal Marina has a high level of intelligence, being "too smart for her own good" Marina is an enthusiast regarding all sorts of technology being obsessed with the machinery. She often utilizes similar machinery in the Shifty Station layouts she designs. She does not like being considered a 'nerd' in this regard. She is also a fan of shōjo manga and can draw, with her naming the Shifty Stations after shōjo manga in the Japanese version and practicing her crosshatching in secrecy. Marina is more reserved than her bandmate Pearl. She speaks in a sweet, gentle manner, and can get very sassy in response to others teasing her, though she often acts quite shy as well. While she is reserved, she does not appear to be concerned about expressing herself and is very emotional and expressive. She is forgetful and has been observed to forget the news she and Pearl are broadcasting. Her timidity shows whenever she sees a fan watching her; when she notices them, she smiles awkwardly and waves. Marina has a high level of intelligence, describing herself as being "too smart for her own good" Marina is an enthusiast regarding all sorts of technology being obsessed with the machinery. Romantically she is very inept becoming overly clumsy and unskilled, very flustered or dazzled around around anyone she has a romantic interest in, as rare as they may be. Marina has never shown any romantic interest towards any inkling or octoling, something she is often teased about much to her dismay and embarassment, she never reveals the reason why, only giving excuses like 'i haven't found the one yet' but the true reason she keeps hidden is that Marina is indeed very romantic at heart and loves romance, but simply does not find Inklings or Octalings interesting, instead she has a fascination with the rare human men, particularly of the white color, finding them exotic, especially when paired with her dark skin, she finds their silky soft hair an alluring thing she has to resist the urge to brush, their smiles dazzling and their natural taller height and bulkier, stronger frames when compared to inklings and octolings wildly attractive and even arousing, she often finds herself daydreaming and drawing about herself being held and courted by white human men, going out on romantic dates, her teaching them how to use her instruments and machines, and when she is feeling particularly antsy she draws herself being teased, or them having sex with her. She is of course mortified any time someone questions her on her interest on human men, never knowing what to say and bumbling her words, but truth is she really does dream of a nice, romantic, handsome and dashing white human sweeping off her feet, kissing her in the lips and telling her he will love her forever.
