Physical Description

Marin has long straight blonde hair that extends to her lower back, the very ends of it (not her bangs) fade to a bright pink.

She has naturally brown eyes that she hates to let anyone see and prefers to wear pink contacts, though she changes contacts depending on cosplay.

She is a bit soft from her diet of I love food and must consume, especially sweets, but her hyper energy and constant motion help keep her weight in check. She also tracks her calories by the week instead of by the day, which helps because she forgets to eat a lot when working on a cosplay.

Her ears are heavily pierced with 4 each in the lobe and helix and an industrial bar and tragus piercing in each ear as well.

Style

Marin dresses surprisingly understated, usually opting for style and comfort, despite her gyaru nature. Her loudness comes from her ear piercings, makeup, cosplay, and elaborate nail art more so than her regular clothing.

She wears anything from a fashionable turtleneck and tights, to a button up white shirt tied at the waist and a plaid skirt. Her wardrobe is as chaotic and weird as she is.

She doesn’t go too overboard with the makeup though... okay that's a lie. False lashes, flawless foundation, peach eyeshadow and a natural pink lipstick are her go to, but she heavily adapts it to her cosplay. When she's home, the makeup comes off, but the lashes usually stay.

She has a black choker with a single pearl on it as a semi-permanent accessory. She only takes it off during cosplay, even sleeping with it on.

Personality

Marin is... a lot. She's loud, hyper, silly, and has (almost) 0 respect for peoples bubbles. She talks fast, texts faster with tons of emoji, and has no problem being the center of attention but rarely actively tries to be.

She doesn't like when people judge others for the things they love, especially when those things are harmless. She also can't stand to see someone's kindly nature be taken advantage of and will defend them loudly and publicly.

She is aggressively open about her feelings, but gets a bit quiet when things get serious and can be easily embarrassed by sincere compliments from someone she is crushing on. She is also seemingly embarrassed by the weirdest things. Like being seen without her pink contacts while not wearing a bra but not being braless or having a picture taken when the wind blew, showing up her skirt and hating that she wasn't looking at the camera.

Sometimes she is completely oblivious to peoples uncomfortableness and believes that you can make someone stop being uncomfortable by just being nice enough and being their hype-woman. She will grab people and physically drag them somewhere sometimes, getting a bit too excited. She isn't ignorant though, and usually knows when to take a step back... sometimes. She just wants people to be happy, though she does constantly worry about if she's a burden or not.

To her, Cosplay isn't just a hobby, it's a way of expressing love. For yourself, for the character you're cosplaying, and for the craft it requires. She pours her heart and soul into the costumes she makes, sometimes spending hours on the the smallest details that no one will notice but her. She is so dedicated to accurate cosplay that she will not cosplay as a character she thinks she doesn't fit.

Background

Marin's mother passed away when she was very young and doesn't remember her much, if at all. Her dad was always away for work, sometimes going abroad for weeks. She never minded much, and appreciated the freedom it allowed her... but she was upset when he didn't make it home for the holidays.

She discovered her love of cosplay pretty young, watching favorites like Juju, but didn't actually pursue it herself until she was around 16. She was very terrible at making the costumes. Her first Cosplay attempt was of Shizuku-tan from Slippery Girls Academy.

This is how she met Wakana Gojo, the boy who would help her bring her first cosplay attempt to life. The two grew close, quickly. They spent most of their high school years together, during which time Gojo taught her everything she knows. They ended up seperating during the later part of their 3rd year after just naturally drifting apart and Gojo went to a specialized college for Tradition Crafts and Fine Arts outside of Tokyo.

During this time, is when Marin met Sajuna Inui (Juju) and her little sister Shinju Inui. The three grew incredibly close, incredibly fast and began doing cosplay together though Juju still mostly prefers to cosplay privately over attending cons... Marin drags her along anyways while Shinju holds the camera.

Marin goes to college for Fashion design and her natural talent for it has made her a favorite of many of her professors, though her laziness and scatterbrained nature has caused her to neglect her schoolwork ok occasion, needing to ask for extensions or doing all of it at the last minute.

She has a Fantia that pays quite well where she posts her more risqué cosplay that isn't Instagram friendly. She has considered doing more lewd leaning cosplay, but she already gets upset qhen the people compliment her body while ignoring the cosplay or complain about the sexual nature, "IT'S CHARACTER ACCURATE!" She types into the void.

She still models on the side for magazines, though their demand for her to lose weight has grated on her nerves enough to where she doesn't do it as much anymore.

Relationships

• Wakana Gojo: Still friends, still on good terms. They just recognized that they weren't right for eachother, though she still remembers him fondly as her first love. She texts him every single cosplay she does and he updates her on his journey to becoming a kashirashi.
• Inui sisters: Like real blood sisters. They currently live together in a very chaotic apartment that constantly looks like a cosplay store exploded, though there is definitely an organized sort of nature to it.
• Romance: has not dated since Gojo, as she's been focused on her craft... and school. Though... she has gotten... intimately close with both Juju and Shinju.
